I am doing well, I had a particularly bad infection that has put me under for a few months. An abscessed tooth spread the infection down into my jaw.

Getting better though, granted the last 3 days have been rough. XD (Thanks for asking and the well wishes Dadaph!)

Yes the races are coming! ^_^

Owwie. That sounds TERRIBLE.

Also haha, blind MM6 race. Now THAT... is gonna be fun. I can't play cause the game's not blind, though. While I haven't touched it in ages (minus the pentathlon), it's the only Megaman game I ever owned on cartridge. I never got Brickroad good at it, but I'd definitely have an unfair advantage just from knowing the robot order. Well, at least the robot order that I personally use.

Unfortunately, the game is no longer blind for me(it was until very recently, watch as I struggle and actually LEARN a certain part of that game during the upcoming Mega Man Pentathlon).

Hope you're doing okay, Narishm, and let the races happen when you have time.
I have a blind MM6 run I've been meaning to cut up and put on Youtube, since I didn't play it until the megathon. It's about 2 hours 40 minutes.

That lenght sounds plausible. I don't want to spoil the upcoming blind Panic Restaurant race much, but in my opinion, it's an easier game to learn(having played both blind recently), and it still dragged on a little for a few of the racers.

Mega Man 6 is definitely among the easiest games in the series. It would be even easier to play blind due to the fact that (spoilered for people who want to stay pure) it's easy to accidentally find a good boss order: you start in the top-left corner and then move along the top row toward the right, beating them in order. I recall this working for the first 4 bosses, but after that I think you have to switch things up a bit.

I didn't even bother to learn the weaknesses. In MM6(and 5), I thought it was pretty easy to beat every single boss with the peashooter. I didn't even know I was allowed to use any special weapons during the race.

I found exactly two boss weaknesses during my run, outside of the refight room. E-Tanks are plentiful and the bosses are generally easy.

Wiley 1 was the biggest stumbling block and absolutely where things dragged on.

When I was a kiddo, I started with Flame Man, then went to Plant Man, because I liked having the Rush Adapters asap so I could get the stuff. I've learned, however, to start with Wind Man instead, because I hate fighting Flame Man with the peashooter. Those asshole fire waves that block your shots just WRECK me every time. Also seeing the guys ascend to the heavens when you windblast them is just hilarious.

The biggest stumbling block in MM6 for me is Plant Man's stage. That gauntlet of horrible fish jumping blindly out of pits is the absolute worst thing. It would be fine with the rush jetpack, but Plant Man is the one who gives you that, so.... Bleh.

Well I now have all the race footage from our Score Attack and now I just need to bang my head on avisynth for a bit.

Nari helped me come up with a background that I think is going to really fit.

Hello all,

I dunno if it's in bad taste to recommend a race in the middle of what looks like is a race in the making, but I was thinking about a race in a game that almost everyone complained about being just a 30$ demo on release. The game I'm referring to is Metal Gear Solid 5 - Ground Zeroes. I figured that since it's just a short game to do just the Ground Mission and all the other side ops, there could be challenges of sort in the game play (i.e. tag all the enemies in a mission before finishing it, CQC only, etc...) But hey, I'm just tossing the idea out there. Considering I've watched the racing time vids until my HDMI cables burned out, I figure I would attempt to contribute, rather than just sit around and spectate.

I'd be delighted to race Ground Zeroes, but I won't be able to join in until I get my HD capture working.

First step is learning that VirtualDubMod is NOT VirtualDub, but is very similar.

I have a basic first attempt processing now.

Here's hoping my computer doesn't melt into a puddle of delicious nacho cheese.

Default Delicious Nacho Cheese?

The only delicious nacho cheese is not nacho cheese. It's melted cheddar.

I actually put off the processing until I go to bed tonight.

Gave me lots of time to mess with formatting and get it looking right. I really like how the layout looks.

So, since processing on Mystery Score Attack: Heat One is coming along well, I wanted to see if there is still interest for a second heat. I've got Umby and MarioFreak1989 interested and I remember a couple other people mentioned they were interested.

Can I be in the second heat too? I'm going home soon, and it was so fun the first time!

(just kidding, but really, it was a fun little race that I can recommend signing up for)

How does this weekend look for people? I would like to try to get a group on either Saturday or Sunday.

Only good if it finishes before 6 PM Saturday, I'm booked Sunday for the most part.

Unusual for my weekends, but it is how it is.

I'd really only be down if it starts on or after 6pm EST, but I'll withdraw if an earlier time to get Umby in works for everyone else. Especially since Umby signed up before I did.

I'm down for Saturday! As long as it's not too late in the evening (I need to be done at around 8PM MST)

MarioFreak probably won't be available on Saturday, so hopefully we can get a couple more people.

If it isn't working for Saturday, perhaps it'd be better if we moved it to another day... maybe?

I have to know by tonight if we're doing it tomorrow because of REASONS.
