That was all me, though, and MMX is a game I can do (it also lacks the random extra lives and limited continues that are the bane of my runs of early Mario games). I'd just do a test run/recording tomorrow to see how many power ups I can realistically skip.

I'm only an hour into it currently, but you did a great job editing it together. Kudos all around.

If you tackle the bosses in the right order, you shouldn't have to skip any of them, except maybe the armor. But how does noon tomorrow, mountain time sound? 11 am pacific, 2 pm eastern.

This right here? Lie on both counts, or at least the second; my plans for the afternoon fell through.

If you guys want an additional body, I'm in.

I'm thinking about hosting a race sometime next week, haven't completely decided on a game yet but I have it narrowed to 3.

Super Mario World
Super Metroid
A Link to the Past

Anyone interested in racing one of these?

We would really need to get Garrison for a Super Metroid race.

I'm not familar enough with Metroid or Zelda to race but Mario World would be a lot of fun.

I plan on racing all three of these. Just not all in the same night. ^_^

I am down for racing with Garrison, but I also challenge you to this race Brick!

I would definitely need to practice a legit path. I will not be repeating my performance from my last two races! XD

Well I am marking down everyone who is interested, and in which race they are interested in. So drop a post if you want to race! ^_^

I'm still at work for another two hours. Were you still shooting for an 11am pst start time, or sooner?

EDIT: I may not be available... some things are happening IRL around here right now.

My internet just vanished for a few hours. I'm hoping it won't happen again, but not sure if I can trust it at the moment. Added you on Skype, so if I'm on when the race start(when DOES it start?), I'm in, but if you have plenty of racers, I'm okay with sitting this one out.

Who raced? And who is processing the footage?

I stand corrected.

My gameplay was awesome.

but...

my headset decided to be shitty all through the recording and record EVERYONE but me.

So now I have this really solid speed run through Mega Man X, but it's almost useless.

Well, as it turns out I think I will have a bunch of free time later tonight and tomorrow. So I'm down for racing something if there are some other peoples free. I was thinking Super Mario World.

Also I could process the Mega Man X footage if no one else wants too ^_^.

I am also downloading copies of the race files from the Let's Race Youtube to archive with my own videos (I have a copy of all my videos on my hard drive), in case something happens. I'm not sure if anyone else has done that or not?

After what happened to Brickroad the week I started my channel, I decided to keep backups of everything.

Okay, here's the plan: my audio just crapped out. The root cause is still unknown, but Audacity didn't get a lick of my own audio. Just game audio and the other players.

With that being what it was, what I'm going to do is get everyone's video together, and slap it together in a barebones avisynth production, and do a private upload to youtube on my own channel. THen we'll watch it and I'll record a skype commentary with all of us, and then slap that commentary in to the video and make a final production.

That was a fun race(except the latter half of my photage)
Sucks about that lost audio, but I'll be up for post commentary whenever I'm available.

I'm telling you, just apply that video game lesson you learned in Zelda 2:

When all else fails, use fire.
