Lets racing time

Duuuude I'm down for some Super Metroid. I'll probably lose since I'm nowhere near as familiar with the game as you guys are, but I'd like to try! I'll start practicing tonight.

Okay, just did my practice run: 50% and 1:08
And I can probably shave off a few missiles and E-tanks.
For some reason, I start believing I may have a chance. I got lucky and didn't mess up too much on mockballing though...

Small computer update: I got my internal USB card just in time for me to go out of state for the weekend. I'm back home now, going to pick up some canned air so I can clean out my PC and install this card at the same time and then I should (cross fingers) be good for racing times again. And I'm going to want to get in on a couple races soon because depending on how things go down with recent life events, I might not be able to again for some time.

Also, Dadaph's banner is super cool.

4 minutes and 11 itempickups between us. Seems like I can shave off a few items then.

I actually cut out two items that took me off my main track and added a new item I didn't pick up before. My next goal is to cut down the time it takes me to kill the bosses, because Draygon and Ridley take way too long.

I'm curious what path you use through the game, but we shouldn't really tell each other stuff like that before the race. I'm not skilled enough to skip the Grappling Beam, so I had to figure out a smart way around that handicap.

Looking at this week, I highly doubt I'll get time to practice Super Metroid, so I'd be something of an embarrassment in a prospective race.

Might be just as well, I've only ever successfully pulled off the early Super Missile mockball once (and failed so, so many times) so that alone would cripple my standing in the race.

Maybe we should force him to change his user name to NO!rishm.

In other news, looking at this Friday evening for the Super Metroid race, most peeps seem okay with that time-frame. Finalize here though peeps, let me know if it needs to be moved!

I'm fine with that if we can be close to done by about 6am CET(midnight EST)
Will be happier the earlier we start.

How's Pentathlon 2, Heat II coming?

I am hoping the whole race will be done by 2 hours, I'm thinking of imposing a cut-off at 3, because if you aren't done by then you are going to take a while.

I am working both the SMAS and SMW races at the same time, but I have them on kind of a side-burner while working on main channel stuff.

I'll probably be around if you need a fourth, but I'm dead-certain to come in last place. Practicing between now and then just ain't happening.

Crushed beneath the inertia of my laziness. I've been lazy to work on anything since upgrading my OS, so work done has been minimal.

That said, I'm shooting for sometime next week to have it done and uploaded.

I'm-a be streaming FF5 on Friday, so no SM race for me that night.

Well we can re-schedule the race if need be, right now the only solids are me and Dadaph (with a maybe from Spoony), but I think Dadaph is a no-go if it doesn't happen on Friday.

This Super Metroid race is easily the hardest one I've ever tried to schedule lol.

Actually, I'm good with Saturday or Sunday as well.
For me, it just have to happen this weekend, as I have a con and guests next weekend, and after that will spend a month moving.

Er, I can't race Saturday afternoon either. I'll be at work until 11pm.

Well if you can be free Sunday evening, I think that would be good for Dadaph. Not sure about Destil tho...
