Lets racing time

A little bit of a delay due to the snow and the power companies inability to work for more than a half hour without shutting everything off. XD The All-Stars Race should be ready by the 9th, with the Mega Man Pentathlons coming behind on the 16th and 23rd.

Just had the weirdest dream. We were having a pentathlon race, where the challenges was to do 5 NES games perfectly, no damage runs. One was Castlevania, and another was Willow, while the third was Batman. Can't remember the last two games. I think we spent days recording.
Let's never do THAT race.

Storms do blow, you know what happened yesterday, after the ice storms were over. A FREAKING TORNADO, like a mile from here. They just got the internet and power fixed. =/

Calling all racers for Red's race today! I'm guessing Red Silvers, Myself, Dadaph, and Beat, and I am supposed to make sure Beat has a recording setup (but I don't know his Skype).

Another fun race to be in.

Yes! A New Mario All-Stars Race, Mega Man NES Pentathlon Heat 1 and 2 (when I get Perodical's footage XD), and this Panic Restaurant Race!

We still have Zelda 2, A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid races waiting in the wings as well. (I.E. Waiting to be raced)

One day I still want to do another heat of Mario All-Stars, but it honestly might have to wait until my Spring Break or something.

I might race another heat, because I seem to enjoy suffering; but this time I am going to get Raocow to commit so I have an excuse for looking bad. XD

Oh man, sign me up for Zelda 2(I even prepared that one for us), LttP, and of course, Super Metroid.

I just need to start practicing SM again soon, I guess.

I'm predicting Zelda 2 will be a damn train wreck. You better make a time limit

I prepared the save for New Game+ Zelda 2, so it shouldn't be THAT bad. Right? Level 8/8/8 should make pretty much everything up to the final two palaces a breeze.

Granted, people should at least do a practice run first this time. So they know where to go, at least.

No amount of level grinding will help with that mess.

I also assume we're not allowed to use maps. Because that really WOULD trivialize the whole thing :P

I sometimes 1-life the Great Palace, including the bosses, depending on my luck with Magic refills. It's not THAT hard if you know the way. You don't even need 8/8/8 for it. Just practice in advance.

I would say maps are allowed. I mean, how can we control people are not using them? Brickroad didn't stop people from going online and check up maps of Zelda during the first pentathlon(don't think anyone did, though).
Most people interested in racing Zelda 2, probably already know the game, and won't need maps. Right?

Oh well, I know people, myself included, never practice for these, so anything can happen, I guess.

Eh. I guess it's just my inner schadenfreude talking. I think it's better when everything is a trainwreck and everyone's yelling and cursing and failing and getting knocked into bottomless pits over and over by the fucking crystals generally making it more entertaining to watch.

...Somebody's going to like the next couple race videos.

Wait, there's some super metroid race going on soon? Depending on when it happens I might be able to play.

Well, since I have all the Races backed up on my HDD. I can put this together provided someone makes a list of quotes, I just need to know which race it came from and the time code. ^_^

I'm pretty fond of the intro to the Sonic 3 race too... all the singing.

The whole damn power blade race is golden. I was trying to find a particular highlight and couldn't figure out where to cut it off.

E: 26:15 "They mo-capped a hamburger" is probably the best one.

A montage celebrating however-many-time-units-it's-been of Lets Racing Time would be fun, but I'm wary of having a seven-minute channel trailer. (But then, I'm quite fond of our existing channel trailer.)

I agree about a seven minute trailer, if I do the creating it'll hit 2 minutes max. I was thinking this wouldn't be like a welcome video, but rather a video we could put on our channels that advertised for Let's Racing Time, more or less.

My thoughts on it anyway. XD

I'm ready to put Castlevania behind me. I'm good at it, I can beat it, I still hate it, and the whole internet knows why. I've made my peace and I'm ready to move on.

*Please don't sign up unless you can actually beat Castlevania. This is a game good players will win in 30 minutes or less, but blind players will be at for days. For this game, I'd rather have a race where four players finish in a reasonable time than one player finishes then another finishes 20 minutes later then two guys drop out after two hours.

I've had a save at Chapter 15 on my Wii since the damn game came out on Virtual Console that I've tried to plug at every year since. One day, dammit!
