Lets racing time

Well you'll never get a race scheduled if you keep dropping your phone in tea.

Sunday might be doable, but I don't know what shape I'll be in after work.

We don't HAVE to do it this week, you know. Next Wednesday and Thursday would be perfect for me. If you don't race, spend the time working on processing all that Mario footage. =)

Speaking of which, Torgo just reminded me I never sent him the Pentathlon files, because I am King of the Jackholes, so I finally did that and now he can get to work on it. Sorry for sucking, dudes!

Yeah, the reason I was aiming to do it this week is because Dadaph is, moving I believe? So he won't be available to race after this weekend. So I was hoping to not have to exclude him. Not doing it this week, but still including Dadaph, would mean postponing it until late next month.

Brickroad, tired and distracted from work = mere mortal.

It might just make it a closer race.

I think Brick would already be hard pressed to win this one.

Wednesday might be a possibility for me, but I don't know. We are expecting visitors here this week, which will make racing for me impossible to do. And thing is, we don't really know which day they arrive yet.

So if I schedule for Wednesday, I might have to cancel or try to reschedule.
The weekend of 6th and 7th July might not be impossible either, and I may be available some time between the 12th and the 20th, but that's really hard to tell at the moment.

Moving 350 miles away is a bitch.

I have a question...to answer your question. As you, travel to...this race...by conventional means, the normals you travel with experience malfunctions. As you realize ALL THAT IS LEFT is total self-destruction, do you, show self-pity? DO YOU, try to reason why? Do you, try and comfort the normals that have even more fear than you?

Or do you, kick the doors out? Kick the cockpit door down. Take the two pilots that have already made the sacrifice so that you can face the challenge. Dispose of them. Assume the controls. SHOVE THAT CONTROL INTO A NOSEDIVE! Push yourself to total self-destruction. As you realize, you are about to enter a world close to Parts Unknown. Ah, smell it, racers. Do you, look for a place to hide? Or do you, face the challenge that may be more powerful than EVEN YOU ARE, BRICKROAD!

So are we pushing the Super Metroid race to Sunday?

I'd really like to participate in a race. Can anyone do something on Tuesday/Wednesdays? Maybe another Mega Man? X2?

Well I'm having a bit of trouble getting a hold of peeps this weekend. So I suppose setting the Super Metroid race to next Wednesday would work. It would give more peeps a chance to check back here. I also sent Garrison a message on YouTube, so hopefully he'll get that... since I think twitch imploded...

Awful. I've never done a super metroid speed trick or sequence break in my life. Two hour min, prob closer to 02:45:00.

I was gonna say I'd be down to race Tuesday possibly. Can't do Wednesday and Super Metroid would be awful for me, since I've only beaten it once... which was about two months ago... it took about 6 and a half hours.

I guess my Ultimate Warrior reference was missed XD

Also, to solve a prior mystery, in the MMX race Brick was complaining that his subtanks were only filling up half his health bar.

Apparently this is a bug with MMX in ZSNES. If you used SNES9X or highan/bsnes, you will not be subject to this bug. I was playing with higan, not ZSNES, hence I got my full health bar.

Did another practice run today. But did a lot of things wrong, including having to backtrack half the map because I forgot the Ice Beam. I also died to Ridley. Wups. Shouldn't have cut down on Energy Tanks.
Final time 1:05 though, so slightly improving my path even if I made horrible, horrible mistakes..

Mine is still running between 50 minutes and 105 minutes. I think of lot of mine is spent in the boss fights, I have to fight Draygon legit because I have no grapple beam and the super short charge is impossible to pull off on an xbox controller. XD

Nearly messed up Draygon as well as he grabbed me the wrong way. Luckily, I was able to destroy a turret from him and L-target it with the grappling beam, so didn't really lose time.

I'm not yet skillful enough to get through the game using shinesparks instead of grappling.

It's been so long since I've picked up the grappling beam I don't think I could even plot a path through there. XD

I'm very curious in the differences between our paths now. Spent time plotting the perfect course through a map I downloaded.
That's why it's gonna be so exciting to race.
Looking forward to mop the floor with you(well, probably not, but you know, then I'll blame it on bad karma)...

Note that Garrison is now interested, I saw him do SM on the Awesome Games Done Live 2013 charity stream and his in-game time was like :33, and he made some slight mistakes.



Racing against him will be fun, hopefully the combination of him being rusty with the race environment will throw him off enough to let us not get lapped. XD

Although, if one of us managed to beat Garrison that will be like epeen viagra. XD

A "slight mistake" for Garrison is still amazing for the rest of us.

I'm going to do a practice run tonight just to solidify my route. Then I need to spend an hour or two practicing the Phantoon and Draygon fights, which is always where I lose a lot of my time.

I'd love to be able to get that Kraid quick-kill, but in the hundred or so attempts I've made at it I've only gotten lucky like twice.

Are we thinking Wednesday night, then? I'll process this one, Nari, since your plate is already full.

Yeah we are looking at Wednesday night. I've been practicing Draygon too, and thanks Brick. ^_^

Vorpal wants to race, too. Usually I wouldn't want to do a five-man race, but this seems like an excellent time for an exception.

If we're all in, it'll be an exciting race to third place! =D
