Lets racing time

I think it's a good idea if people want to use Twitch instead of a screen recorder or capture card. It doesn't matter to me if someone sees the race early. "Who wins" is basically the least entertaining part of our races, anyway.

If you're that concerned, start up a secret channel. How many of you are so popular on Twitch that you have viewers in and out when you haven't announced anything?

I had ten people to drop by and watch a friggin' sound check last week.

That's how many people I had watching my STTB2 stream on Sunday! And that was including me and (presumably) the people on Skype with me.

Also, you'd have to be careful with Twitch because apparently my STTB1 streams are gone and I don't know why. Is there an option somewhere to save your streams for longer?

Twitch doesn't archive anything by default. You have to go in and save the recordings as highlights. (Or send them to YouTube.)

I lost two entire runs before learning this. =(

Sonic 3 race is up.

Hooray! Everyone can see my abysmal performance!

So, the biggest thing I learned from my Sonic 3 footage is that I am never recording Genesis footage at 2x resolution again, and I think Hypercam works best for me at 25 fps, not more.

Would love to do a Sonic & Knuckles race sometime.

Winter Wrap Up in the Ice Cap Zone is the best pony song. Double so because it snuck in when the viewer wasn't paying attention.

So I have now discovered that if I stream Mega Man X4, I can capture footage of it as opposed to using Hyper Cam which causes the ROM to spaz out.

I would like to propose a Mega Man X4 race! Before I set a date/time, who is interested/able to capture footage of the game?

Note: Like the Sonic 3 race, I will not limit the race to either X or Zero, people can choose whoever they want to play as.

I can't imagine why anyone would choose to play as X except for the sake of variety. I would be interested for sure, but my system's totally unproven as far as PS1 emulation is concerned. I have a PS1 emulator up and running, but I've never actually run anything on it yet. I fear for my computers meager 4gb of ram.

Anyway, I'm gearing up to process Super Mario Land 2. No timetable on completion because lollerskates.

I will open the table to music suggestions though. Mario is terrible for music variety in the sense that each game only has like three songs, so feel free to PM or hit me on skype with any remixes or whatever. I'm gonna need 'em.

In my search for music, I found that the main theme of STTB2 had a badass remix from an unlikely place.

I'd be down to race X4. Probably as X, because I doubt anyone else would use him.

It would make up for using Tails

I can't give Jasu shit for playing as Tails when he proceeded to beat his Tails time with his Sonic time.

When are people available?

Literally any time.

Late nights is best for me. If it's Wednesday or Friday though it'd have to be REALLY late night, because those are stream nights.

Tuesday/thursday night would be ideal for me. Sunday is also a good day for me. Weekends are very difficult. But MMX4 is one of my favs, so I really want to figure this out.

Hm... I'd say Thursday but this Thursday is Halloween so that probably won't work. If you guys are willing to do it tomorrow we can do that, otherwise Sunday would be best.
