This coming Sunday will be perfect for me. It'll also give me more time to practice MM6 and MM4.

I'm curious how the Pentathlon 2 and All-Stars races are coming.

I think McDohl said his MMX race is gone.

I've got everything set up to start the main editing on the All-Stars and Mario World races, and am putting them in the editing schedule as soon as I get the main videos for my channel edited and rendered. Looking at editing and rendering this weekend and posting next week. (I've already done a lot of the long processing separately XD)

I understood it as his computer died so he couldn't do editing at the moment? Or did his hard drive die too?

In worst case, I still have the footage we used for post commentary, so it's possible to do another one.
Why do I want people to actually see my worst failure so badly?

Unless it's changed, last I heard him say was he didn't have anyway of working on it right now.

Ok, I don't know if it was the new operating system or what, but I was having serious desync issues with everyone's vids. Not the sources themselves, but everything would go crazy and out of whack whenever I tried to tie it all together. But I figured it out. I think. With luck this will finally be forthcoming in a few days. Warning: Umby's enthusiasm cannot be contained.

Also, I think I'm ready to wash my hands of virtualdubmod. Half the time it doesn't even want to load what I want it to, and the other half it crashes when I try to encode a video with it. Alternatively, vanilla vdub is more stable, feature rich, and has never given me an ounce of a problem.

At first I read this to mean that within the video, my enthusiasm could not be contained. Then I took it to mean that my enthusiasm FOR the video could not be contained.

Although I think Torgo means the latter, both are accurate.

Hey, so is the Mega Man Race still happening this weekend? We need to exchange skype names. I believe you can find mine by rogueblaze.

PM me your Skype names for the megaman race. Also if you haven't already, double check to make sure your recording rig works (ie it picks up the game video, and ONLY your voice... Not Skype, not the game audio, etc).

Also, 2pm EST / 11am PST is the time we agreed on, I believe!

Made a 3 hour test recording yesterday to make sure all my AV woes were fixed and they seem to be.

The time is currently scheduled for 11am PST, but I myself am not attached to the time if we need to push it back a little later.

I will recommend once again that maybe we should do only 3 of the megaman games... the robot masters of 1-6 will take like 4 hours, even for someone really good at the game! Not only will it be painful to run, it'll be painful to watch. (Remember the Disney Afternoon race?)

I'm down to run them all eventually, but maybe we should do 2,4,6 and 1,3,5

I'd love to do 1-6, I think I can get that down under 3.5 hours total (I'm doing a test run/recording tomorrow to find out), but if we want we can do three.

I'm not married to the time slot, but it's pretty good for me (because I want to go draft magic at 4:30PM PDT).

Nope. Doesn't look like I'll be able to swing it.

3:16:30. Lots of mistakes on my part, too (Mega Man 1 mostly) and I don't have a clue about the optimal route in 6 (but now that I'm used to the damn fan and spring gimicks it's pretty easy, really).

Okay, so ASandoval and SpoonyBardOL both expressed interest in the megaman race.. are you guys around today?

Or is anyone else interested? If Loki can't make it, that only makes 3 of us so far.

Sorry, as I stated elsewhere (but forgot to look in here) my internet was knocked out from Friday afternoon to late yesterday evening. In fact my internet is still knocked out, and I'm back to borrowing my neighbors wi-fi for the time being. A technican was supposed to be by this morning to take a look, but nothing yet, so I may be a no-go for the foreseeable future.

Destil, Rogue and I ended up racing as a trio, and it was a pretty good time. Pretty long, but still good!

Hey Brick, what do you to cut in the challenge screens with the little music clip when a racers gets to a specific challenge? I got the resources, but I don't see any provision for it in the script you sent me. Splice them in on a second pass? (Which would be simple enough really, but encoding the final video takes my system at least a few hours, so saving myself the time just doing it all in one go is preferable.)

This is literally the last thing to do and I'm done.

Finally.

Finallyyyyyyyyy.

I gotta say, the final result is pretty swell.

Super looking forward to seeing my Pentathlon performance.

Everyone else should look forward to it, too. Spoilers: I'm really impressive at Tetris.

Got'cha.

I should be able to rustle something up with avisynth readily enough, but I think a second pass is going to be the safest way to do so without screwing up the timing.
