Well I am still waiting to hear back from people on times, but I am planning on a Super Mario World race tomorrow or Monday, hopefully.

So far the hopeful racers are:

Well I am trying, he says he is very interested in doing it, but he also has very little free time. I expect he will get back to me again tomorrow and we can see if something can be worked out schedule wise.

I can beat 8-2, though it'll take me a few tries. My problem is going to be beating the game without having many lives to mess with. Basically if I don't go into 8-4 with a powerup and beat it on my first try I'm going to be looping World 8.

I also would have to practice/research the warps in SMB2.

Clear SMB1-3 on Mario All-Stars, warps allowed. Early finishers tuck into Lost Levels for style points.

Yeeeeaaaaaah, that wasn't my best run either. I think I'm done trying to race SMB1. For some reason I can play it on my own just fine, but I fail particularly hard when trying to race it. Goddamn 8-2.

Anyway, I should have my video(s) up later today, you're doing the compiling right Narishm?

For the first time in my life, I didn't die at 8-2 at all, if my memory serves me right.

Still can't believe that, because I usually have so much trouble with that place, and I'm not at all used to the slightly different physics of All-Stars(in my practice run I kept jumping into the Piranha Plants of 8-1 trying to jump over them, that's possible in SMB, but not in All-Stars).

No kidding, I did the exact same thing in 4-1. Look out for it. Though we should probably stop giving away so much of the race :P
