It’s not very hard. How the hell did I get Custom? I’ve been spamming Plantman like there’s no tomorrow. EDIT: Oh yeah, right, my last (rejected) Style Change was Team. I can't get the same one twice, so Custom was the next best pick. Anyways, I’d love to take this, but for one I’m about to face Flashman, and for two I’m sticking with the style you guys chose for me. WWW Computer 1’s BMDs contained an HPMemory, 1800 Z, and a Recover 150 P. Flashman laughs. Because apparently Rei can’t run a backup. This will be easy then. Oh no, Flashman. Whatever shall I do? What. Last edited by BlitzBlast; 03-25-2011 at 02:02 AM. |

Flashman and Rei begin to flicker rapidly. So in the next few images you’ll only see one of them at a time.
See, as far as I understand it, unlike in the manga series only Lan and Megaman can go Full Synchro, specifically due to the whole “once one person” thing. Naturally, that means Rei and Flashman shouldn’t be able to fully synchronize. Of course, Wily found a way around that. Rei and Flashman overlap each other. The screen flashes. Okay, I’ve been kicking Flashman Beta’s ass up and down ACDC 2, but this is him and Rei fully synchronized. This will undoubtedly be much harder. Or not. I find it amusing that Inukai was able to upgrade Beastman beyond what Rei and Flashman could do fully synchronized. Wait, wasn’t that a suicide move? Megaman, you’re at full health. Hell, the entire battle must have lasted maybe five seconds, tops. |

Kingman lands on Flashman then bounces back. You know, are there any checkmates that involve the non-enemy king piece? Did Tora just kill Rei? Next time: The rest of Castle Wily! Random Stranger. Remember, that guy who confronted Bass in Flamman's scenario and never appeared again?
Also, can't believe I forgot Bass had the Variable Weapons System. |

Rook+King vs King a simple one- you use the rook to check a row, and line the king up so the other king can't just cross past the rook's attack, like so: Code:
...♔.... ..XXX... ♖XX♚XXXX Q+KvK is pretty much the same thing. If you meant any where the king is attacking the king, no, impossible usually, as attacking a king would put your king in check, an illegal move. (There may be some variant rules here where, rather than it being an illegal move, it's a valid move, but you just lose because your king is then taken.) |

You could move the king, thereby revealing a piece behind it to deliver the actual checkmating move, but the king itself cannot perform checkmate, no.

Man, I really need to stop trying to talk about chess.
Anyways, I guess what Kingman did in that cutscene would technically count as King attacking King (assuming Flashman is a King piece and not a Pawn or something compared to Wily). However, in his Beta form (after beating Flashman Alpha you can talk to Tora to battle Kingman Alpha. After a victory, talking to him again will let you battle Kingman Beta), Kingman does actually use the Checkmate move if he and Megaman are at critical health and if Megaman is in the back two columns. Well, at least I think those are the requirements. I spent like five battles trying to get him to do the move and he only did it once. Checkmate has Kingman move his three pieces to your side of the field to block your movement. He then proceeds to jump on your panel for a measly 150 damage. As you probably know by now, I'm no chess expert, but I'm pretty sure the formation shown doesn't actually count as a Checkmate. I think Tora just couldn't think of anything else to call his chess navi's super move. |

Hey, you guys know the big debate of what Mr. Match does with his Navis? How in the anime he made Heat Man from Fire/Torchman?
Well, apparently in the Mega Man & Bass bios, the original Heatman's description is that he was made from Fire Man. Who knew? |

This update should have been up yesterday, but Photobucket was being Photobucket.
Alright, before I advance let me go pummel Kingman a few times. And after twenty-seven tries because S-Ranking (and for that matter, getting a chip drop) Kingman Beta is a pain in the ass with my current folder/customizer set-up that I refuse to change on principle… FYI, out of those twenty-seven previous tries eight were S-Ranks that only gave zenny prizes. The rest were 9 ranks, all due to me going a few seconds over 30:00. All probably would have been 2 ranks if it weren’t for Super Armor. Tora, my folder isn’t even complete yet and it’s still completely destroying you. As a small side note, the entire island seems to be a computer. For a guy who hates the Internet so much, Dr. Wily sure has some impressive hardware. So for some reason Tora just stops following Lan after he helps take down Flashman. “This person isn’t here, so he must be somewhere else”. That’s some amazing deduction. Chaud notes there must be an exit to another room somewhere. Huh, some more pulse transmission systems. Oh, and a river of purple sludge. Well that wasn’t a very long search. This chip was stuck in Wily’s computer’s keyboard. It makes me think Wily eats the things. |

Yai’s ancestor? Did Lan just kick down a solid marble statu- Oh. I don’t consider kicking something into a fast moving river to be playing. (I think Megaman was supposed to say “Stop wasting time!”.) …But Lan just cleared the path. You’re standing right in front of it. While wearing bright colors. While on an island that is primarily brown. Lan agrees. |

Lan tells Chaud to go ahead while he deals with Bubbleman. Megaman tells Lan to run. Suddenly, Dex runs up. …What? That was random. Dex apologizes for taking so long. Lan’s just surprised to see Dex. |

Obviously you can’t see it in a still image, but this security program is moving ridiculously fast. It’s about the speed of Megaman’s run in turbo. Huh, that was fast. Only three puzzles in and one BMD (a RegUp 2). That’s funny, considering the Megabuster is one of the most useless attacks against Bubbleman. And pigs will fly. As a side note, Plantman makes Bubbleman a joke, as it destroys his boulder immediately. A prick to the end. Alright, guess we’re done here. |

Or not. Lan orders Megaman to go find the real control navi. Oh God what. A nearby BMD held 3000 Z. I wonder who the real boss is? Oh. Megaman, do you not notice the fact you’re standing on conspicuously yellow panels? At least Lan does. Why is he hissing instead of zwooing? Lan notices the floor is digisand, causing him to realize the identity of the control navi. A digital Sunayama walks over. Desertman rises up right next to him. Sunayama laughs and explains that Wily hacked the prison, freeing him. You might want to go a bit slower Sunayama. Lan’s still shocked that prisons are not inescapable. Sunayama happily confirms and even explains why. |

Really? Chaud, I know he threatened your father but you could at least keep your word. Sunayama and Desertman proceed to do the “flicker and become one” dance. The combined being proceeds to dive back underground, much to Megaman’s annoyance. Maybe you could get off the sand? In response to this, another sinkhole opens up under Megaman, who barely manages to escape it. Gutsman warps in. How is his hammer not getting sucked into the ground? As Sunayama moans in pain, Desertman rises up. |
#859
Plantman also completely owns Desertman. The hands and the barriers will be immediately destroyed, and Desertman himself is completely immobilized. Desertman completely explodes. Lan answers that the guard robot has stopped. Sure. This, right here, is the first time you can battle Gutsman in a non-story event since Flashman’s scenario. After you beat Gutsman Alpha, you can challenge Gutsman Beta. |

Sure. This looks safe. Lan wonders what the noise was. He looks around for a bit, sees nothing, and guesses it was just his imagination. Lan screams. And proceeds to successfully outrun a boulder. Yeah. Anyways, what’s going on with Chaud? Chaud stutters Lan’s name and orders him to go through the door. |
#861
Lan refuses. Couldn’t Chaud just step over the flames, or beat them out with his jacket? The tank doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Lan runs up to the tank and jacks in Megaman. Yeah, the flames sure make it hard to figure out who’s running the thing. BMDs held a Jungle program, and a Full Energy. Way to miss the purple water. My thoughts exactly. Lan angrily asks if Match has any idea just how many people were hurt. Match responds he was just doing his job. |
#862
Match and Flamman go Full Synchro. Guess what happens. Still, Lan is confident that Megaman can take them. |
#863

So despite the fact that the cutscene implies you face stronger versions of Plantman and Flamman at the same time… You just fight their base forms right after each other. If you’re wondering, I deleted Flamman with a Plantman chip. The two blow up. Sheesh, fine. Lan agrees. So Pulse Transmission Systems run on oil? |
#864

Looks more incomplete than failed. These cables seem very suspicious. The door leads to a hallway. Sorry Lan. This is a Megaman game, and we haven‘t rebattled all of the bosses yet. No, seriously. It’s on the title and everything. |

The screen begins to shake. Megaman warns Lan to get back.
Megaman is surprised that Drillman is back as well. Lan jacks in. Damn it game designers. BMDs held 1400 Z and a HP Memory. |
#866
Even though he’s fought alone, Drillman is just in his base form. I guess the game designers though he was too hard. Or Megaman could just jack out. Drillman begins to glow. Megaman suddenly falls to his knee. I was hit ONE TIME. Wait, so Drillman’s self-destruct will blow up the tank too? Isn’t that a terrible idea, considering they’re in an underground hallway? I don’t think Wily would appreciate having everything crashing to ruins aroundhim. The situation seems hopeless. You know what that means. Look at Protoman balancing on his toes there. |

Drillman blows up, and apparently him being forcefully destroyed doesn’t trigger the tank’s self-destruct.
Protoman, he’s dead. And now I can finally return my Navi Customizer to normal. Next time: The final battle! though I haven't played MMBN games, something which adapted it to something like (in look) that so as to not have separate combat/overworld segments of 'net would be very nifty. (Obviously how you draw the battle line and area would need special attention, as you're basically going to be spamming Areagrab outside of battle if you can't just take squares when not directly "in-combat"...and how chip regeneration works.) |

Except that removes the dodging sideways, discrete-motion aspect and completely changes the battle-type. My notion is having the battle grid like in MMBN (terrain would likely be more varied) except you can just move forward and claim more territory along the no-longer screen-length strip.
