Lan sighs that the connection was cut. Lan rushes out of the zoo. Meanwhile, the condor, no longer being controlled, flies off with, of all things, a quack. Lan rushes to the base of the tower, but before he can make it Dex sprints over. This is what I mean about Dex having his moments of actually being a good friend. Mayl is glad that Chisao is okay. Lan agrees. |

The scene shifts to ACDC Park.
Mayl asks if Dex is leaving. Dex then notes that he doesn’t want to disappoint Chisao and his dad. Yai asks what happened to Chisao. Lan fist pumps and replies that it was nothing. Mayl adds that she thought it was sweet how close Dex and Chisao were. Dex begins to chase Yai. Scene shift! Wily sighs that at least he has two Tetra Codes now. |

Wily starts to laugh again. Ms. Mari explains that shrinking data makes it possible to send and save more data. It’s how Scilab processes all of its data on a daily basis. No foreshadowing here! Megaman angrily asks Lan to repeat that statement. |

I would like to point out to y'all that the zoo took a person who looks like a serial killer to be the zookeeper.

Finals are almost over yay.
Alright, what were we doing? Bwuh? Guess I should talk to everyone. After that, we get some mail. Higsby’s shop is accessible in this game. See that sign Lan’s standing next to? You can jack in for a HPMemory. Good question. There’s also a three chip trader. And then there’s this. The Number Trader. Basically, you can input a seven digit password into it to receive certain prizes. While you’re supposed to look all over for these passwords, or get them as rewards for jobs… |

The real internet has them all for you. Anyways, there’s a reason I showed Variable Sword F. Like in the last game, if you hold A while you use it you have a short window of time to input a button configuration to change the effect. Unlike the last game though, Variable Sword is actually useful. Why? Well… Huh, new virus. Okay, before I describe how broken Variable Sword can be, I may as well go over Trumpies. Trumpies only move in their column and do not directly attack you. What they do, however, is play music. Depending on their level, their music will have different effects. The base one makes the enemy invincible while it’s playing. Their chip drops will summon one of them in front of you to help you. Anyways, back on track. If I use Variable Sword, hold A, and press B B Left Down Up… Megaman will perform Elemental Sonic Wave, shooting off four 160 damage Sonic Booms, one of each element. Only the last one will flinch bosses. Anyways, that one move took Beastman Alpha down from 700 HP To 60. Now for the second part. Variable Sword F is, obviously enough, F coded. So I can chain it into Flashman. Ah, if only I had gotten that first turn. Meh. Beastman’s chip essentially hits the enemy three spaces ahead of you three times. It’s great, but not that great. To Lan’s Dog House actually. Another one of the great things about the Number Trader is that besides chips and NC programs, you can also get Spin Colors Blue, Green, Red, and White. These will allow you to rotate the corresponding colors in the Navi Customizer. |

Those are all of the chips I got. Salamander, Fountain, Bolt, and Gaia Blade can all do something spectacular, incidentally, but that’s for later. Barring Sneakrun, these are the programs I got. There’s one that isn’t shown though: Weapon Level +1. But more on that later as well. Anyways, the thing about Fast Gauge is That you can’t use it until you get both Expansion Memories (or just one Expansion Memory and a Spin Pink. BN3 is really big on rule subversion) Okay, on with the plot now. Lan asks if Higsby is okay. Then you’re not fine. Lan’s stunned Higsby is asking him. |

I don’t see why Lan is putting up so much of a fuss. He does the Job Requests without a complaint. Higsby notes he was supposed to pick it up today, but since he’s sick he can’t. Megaman laughs that Lan’s really getting into the spirit. |

After that, we get some mail from Yai telling us she opened a shortcut to Sci Lab Square. But unlike Dex, who did it because why not… …Seriously? The man asks us to do him a favor and get it for him. Obviously enough, we have to head to Yoka. But there’s someone new. Glad to see you’re not wearing that stupid face mask anymore. Mr. Famous will then give us some random game mechanics trivia. Punk is a pain in the ass. His main attacks have him roll up in a ball. He’ll either act like a Boomer and attack your column |
#493
Or he’ll roll over your field in a wave pattern. Both of these attacks count as Breaking. Punk is spectacularly fast, and his movement shows this; he creates after images. Not only that, but I think he even moves whenever you attack. His final move is a counter. He’ll block your attack, then stick his arm out behind him to defy physics and hit you from behind. He does this pretty rarely though. The thing about Punk is that to effectively damage him, you have to wait until after he attacks. However, for a short time after rolling into a ball Punk is temporarily invulnerable, so be careful. Also, his body seems to count as a passive breaking attack as Yo-Yo is useless against him. Anyways, reset time. Hate Punk so much. Don’t. Punk does not drop a chip, This isn’t to say he doesn’t have one though. Punk’s chip was given out in an event. When used, Punk will simply hit the closest enemy’s column. Anyways, if Punk doesn’t drop a chip, how do you power him up? You can't. But you can use this. With the wristband, you can now input a button command to make him do his wave attack. Anyways, without a Punk chip the Wristband is useless. You can jack into that armor (actually an electronic air purifier) next to her to get a Sub Memory. |

That’s quite the sinister chuckle. Seems innocent enough. Higsby’s glad to see us back. That’s it? I can find that lying around on the ground. Snow Blows are weird. They inhale for a while, producing a Fan effect, then they’ll blow tornadoes at you. They drop Air Storm chips, which I honestly have never used. |
#495
Once we bring the money back, Higsby notes Lan would make a good chip dealer. He then gives us our next mission. Er… it’s not that rare. Snake chips fire off a 40 damage Wood Element snake from every hole on your field, like the Snakeman chip in BN2. It’s actually really useful if you know what you’re doing. |
#496
After that, we get some mail. In other words, Sci Lab Square. Lan’s amazed they’re already at the final preliminary round. Megaman warns him that this probably won’t be easy. Lan tells Higsby he has to get going. Higsby responds that he understands and wishes us luck. I did actually find it off the ground… The navi sighs that she’s the one who’ll have to pay the price in the end. |
#497
Geez, what happened to subtlety? Wait, so she was just talking to herself this entire time? …How did she see the Long Sword E anyways? Not suspicious at all, nope. Yeah, if you traded your Long Sword E away before this, have fun grinding Swordies. The navi is glad that she won’t be punished and gives us the pass. Honestly, you kind of sucked. The point of acting is to make it look like you’re not acting. It’s pretty convenient, yes. In this one, we have to press the correct button 60 times (thankfully not in a row) in a minute. |
#498
Later versions will give you more, but if you really need Bug Frags you’re better off grinding Mettaurs in ACDC. There’s also a Step Sword P at the bottom. The navi starts to celebrate. When he sees Megaman just standing there, he tells him to applaud. Megaman asks what’s going on. Megaman complains he was not told about this. |

Basically, we need to search the real world for five people dressed as navis. Then we have to beat them in battle. Of course, you’ll have to use this thing. It’s pretty sucky. These guys all say more than this, but eh. Yeah, way too much effort to just step over or around them. |

Megaman and Lan cheer. Gutsman, Roll, and Glide jack in at this point. Doesn’t their friendship give you a warm fuzzy fee- Oh damn it. |

Douche, we kicked your ass in the last two (technically three, but eh) games. Get off your high horse. I’d like to make a snaky comment here, but the fact is that BN3 Protoman is significantly harder than BN1/BN2 Protoman. So yeah. Wait, when was that said? I dunno, worked pretty well in the last two games. Protoman jacks out. Gutsman jacks out. |

Glide then tells Yai that they have to get ready for the opera tomorrow, so he jacks out as well.

In BN3White, Mr. Famous doesn't show up, and neither does punk. Instead we meet this guy:
Also, the shop in Yoka is a wee bit more interesting: Of note: ASTERIK CODED AREAGRABS FOR SALE. |

Yeah, White Version in general has much better Net Dealers and Giga Chips.
But Blue gets Folder Back so it all evens out. |

What? White version is worse than Blue version in pretty much every way (well, it might have better net dealers, but in the end, I don't think they give anything that is end game material).

Area Grab * says hi.
Area locking + Mom Quake is undoubtedly THE easiest way to kill the end/postgame bosses. Well, except for Alpha but if you have trouble on that guy you really shouldn't be playing this game Not only that, but White's Alpha, Bass, and Dark chips are much better than Blue's. The special VS chip isn't so hot, but neither is Blue's. White also gets Ground Style, which is arguably better than Shadow Style since it allows you to not waste a chip setting up the stage. Folder Back is the only real trump. Last edited by BlitzBlast; 12-18-2010 at 02:22 AM. |

Spent all of yesterday playing Star Force and most of today waiting for Photobucket to upload all of my images.
Lan asks Megaman what they should do. Megaman notes Mayl is probably waiting for them. Lan then gets some mail. Megaman wonders if it’s from Mayl. Megaman reminds Lan that they have to get over to Mayl’s house. Haruka seems to have left the house. Lan asks why Ms. Mari is here. Ms. Mari explains she came to see the Bubble Wash Mayl bought. …Don’t you still need to put plates in it? The only possible function I could see for this thing is if you forgot to turn your dish washer on and left the house. |

Mayl sighs that her delivery hasn’t arrived yet.
Jeez, is this a party or something? Yeah, despite the fact BN1 and BN2 Higsby never showed interest in Ms. Mari, from BN3 onwards Higsby is in love with her. This is probably due to the anime. Lan asks if Higsby also came to see the Bubble Wash. Higsby is surprised to see Lan. Higsby decides to change the subject. Ms. Mari asks what’s going on. We figured that out when you sent Megaman to beat the crap out of a guy who owed you 1000 Z. Hey, you promised you’d do this. Don’t whine. WHAT. Higsby turns to Lan and declares he doesn’t mind who works as long as someone does. |

Because she’s the worst friend ever? Lan is such a doormat. Er, Lan has a mom who enjoys cooking. I don’t think home-made food is the answer here. Hate. You. All. Wait, that’s it? This is what Mayl couldn’t be bothered to do? If this was BN2, this would be my reaction as well. After that, Lan leaves Mayl’s house. If we go back in and talk to Mayl… She reveals that she knows how to do this. Tea? Tea? Seriously? Yeah, apparently Lan’s comfortable enough with Mr. Famous to explain his predicament. Punk V2 thankfully isn’t up yet. One of the annoying things about Yoka area is that the only way to get there from the real world Yoka is through Tamako’s HP. And the way is blocked by both a Security Cube and a Press path. I’ll explain what a Press path is soon. |
