Lan gets a phone call.

What convenient timing.

You mean fusing bugs together doesn’t make a super powerful navi, it makes a huge bug chimera? WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN?!

Megaman cuts in to inform Yuichiro of Lan’s condition, but Lan tells him to be quiet.

Yuichiro’s stunned to hear the Multibug Organism has already formed.

So the original 100% was actually 17%.

The screen starts flashing white.

Honestly, this is radiation we’re talking about. At this point, Lan and Sean should have been incinerated.

To be fair, most machines' 100% output is as high as they can go without damaging themselves. It's entirely possible for them to go higher than that, but that puts them at risk.

But eh. BN2.

That might make sense if it stopped at 200%.

Right now, it's at 600%.

Megaman’s icon shines.

Hub explains that Lan blacked out after that last surge of radiation.

Lan apologizes.

Did we just step into Kingdom Hearts?

By this, Hub’s referring to the fact that he and Lan are identical twins born from the same zygote.

If you didn’t understand that, go take Biology.

Gospel is annoying. Why?

Because like Quickman, he can’t take damage when he’s not attacking, barring breaking attacks.

Junk will spawn randomly throughout the fight too. They’ll be constantly rocketing down the rows.

Every now and then Gospel will release a really fast shockwave. Note that until he does this no junk will spawn.

After three normal shockwaves Gospel will charge up a super fast homing shockwave that cracks the ground.

Gospel can also morph his head into a drill and send it straight down the row. He only starts doing this after he takes some damage though.

At lower health Gospel will essentially begin using navi chips. Note you can attack the navi to deal damage to Gospel.

At critical health Gospel will begin to use his signature Gospel Breath. It’ll open its mouth and start sucking in air, forcing you into the front row. Then…

It will unleash an attack that hits your front two columns. If you’re in an elemental style, the breath’s element will be whatever you’re weak to.

Gospel will do its breath attack three times in a row.

This can be hard to dodge, unless you did what I did in those pictures (move to the back row and set up a Rock Cube to prevent yourself from being blown forward). Do note that will only protect you from two of the breaths; the last one you’ll have to dodge on your own.

It’s worth noting that while Gospel is inhaling it’s a sitting duck.

Hub asks if Lan can hear him.

Lan rises, shakes his head for a bit, and stands up.

You’re standing around talking. You’re awake.

Hub points out the servers have stopped.

I love how the desk that was there just magically vanished.

Lan walks up to Sean.

Hub observes that Sean was exposed to the radiation longer than anyone else.

Lan asks what’s wrong.

Lan decides to check it out.

Hub wonders what this has to do with Sean.

Lan decides to read the journal.

Man, this is like Harry Potter, just without magic.

I’d like to note that during this scene Lan’s head is constantly nodding. Except it’s done in such a way that he’s either reading the journal…

Or staring at the servers in front of him.

Wait, that’s how Gospel started? Seriously?

At this point…

Sean rouses.

Sean shoots up and backs to the wall.

Lan walks up to Sean.

So what if he created a Net Mafia that almost destroyed the world and killed the lives of innocents? That’s all water under the bridge. Let’s be friends!

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Lan Hikari.

Lan extends his hand forward.

Sean’s response, (a surprised “Whaaaat?!”) is masked by a fade to black.

Eh, give it a month or two and everything will go right back to hell.

Dex is still crying.

Haruka turns to her husband.

Seriously, it’s kind of awkward that the writers didn’t give these two names until BN5.

If you don’t get it, Yuichiro’s worried that he’s been gone for so long that now that he‘s finally back and ready to spend some time with Lan, Lan‘s just going to ignore him.

Lan decides to just go.

…WHERE THE HELL DID DOUCHE COME FROM?!

Seriously, Douche just magically appears while Yuichiro and Haruka have their second romantic moment.

Don’t expect this Douche x Mayl thing to ever be mentioned again.

Yeah, after you ask a guy to get something you should take it when he brings it to you.

Megaman’s glad they can camp to their hearts’ content.

Megaman admonishes Lan.

Ms. Mari explains she was preparing for tomorrow, the start of a new semester.

Everyone turns to look at Lan.

Lan looks back and forth between Mayl and Yai for a bit before turning to the stove.

Credits time!

Once again, I’ll leave it up to you guys to figure out what’s going on in these scenes.

Okay, this one makes no sense at all without explaining it. Basically, the three ghost programs here attacked Protoman, but he easily deleted all three of them in one slash.

And the next scene is too awesome to not show pictures of.

As you may note, they’re actually showing where Shadowman V2 is in this shot.

The scene shifts to an unknown area.

Suddenly, the screen turns blue. Bass turns around and tries to attack whatever’s doing this, but…

They, along with Gateman SP are all hack only for the english versions.

Since I'm using an emulator though, the 10 special VS chips also require hacking.

I'll be hacking them all in after I get three stars.

Overclocking is basically what Alpha Werewolf was talking about.

Once again, while that might have made sense if it stopped at 200%, it went all the way up to 600%.

Not to mention the fact that at "100%", the servers were literally sparking.

And it still doesn't change the fact that overclocking doesn't change the rules of reality; if a machine can be overclocked to run above "100%", the original 100% wasn't the real 100%.

Hmm...so that means if the servers got up to 600%, then they were running at only 17% of their true power before said overdrive, like you said...wait! That's it! Capcom is saying that computer makers intentionally keep their processor power low so that they can sell you a new model every couple years! It all makes sense! It's a conspirac...wait, what are you doing? No! Don't take me away THE NUMBERS USE THE NUMBERS GET THEM OUT OF MY HEAD

Like in BN1, completing the game gets you a star next to Continue.

Unlike BN1, beating the game actually unlocks some new stuff.

First off, though, is something I missed.

Anyways, let’s move on to the new stuff.

Hiding behind some trees in ACDC park is a new NPC.

So yeah, she’ll tell you what V3 navis you’ve S ranked. This will be important later on.

Numberman is now in Den 1.

This is all he has left since I’ve bought out everything else.

In any case, our true destination is Under 4.

The barrier here originally is gone.

This warp is pretty different.

The screen will actually darken a few times before you finally warp into

WWW Area! (Listen to the music. It is awesome.)

As warned, you can’t jack out. You have to return to the starting warp.

This is a really high security place. There are barriers everywhere.

And these guys.

Protectos are set encounters (in other words, like navi ghosts they’ll appear if you step on a certain patch of ground) that protect the treasures of WWW Area.

They slowly count down from 10. If you don’t delete them in time, the entire screen blows up. For each Protecto on the screen you’ll take 100 damage.

The thing about these guys is that they can only be destroyed if you take out all of their HP in one hit. So Gater…

Is absolutely useless.

Also you can’t run. In fact, you can’t run from any of the enemies in WWW Area.

So yeah, these guys are basically the ultimate screw you to people who abuse Gater.

Say hello to the Scuttle viruses! Originally only in the final boss battle of BN1, in WWW Area they’re random encounters. All of them but the electric version now do different things (The water one fires an ice cube forward, the fire one launches a bomb that will leave some fire on the panel it hits).

But this asshole releases a BN1 Thunderball, which will make you take damage every step.

Oh, right. If you lose enough HP in a battle (or start with low enough HP), sometimes your prize can be a HP refill. Sometimes full health, usually just a set number.

In any case, Protoman V3 absolutely rapes Protectos. Protectos battles will always give you 3000 Z.

What was being guarded behind the Protectos?

A GMD.

WWW Area GMD are all trapped, but they all either contain really useful things, like all three elemental blades in * form, or just some zenny.

Right past here is a side path to another GMD.

And another Protectos encounter.

The really annoying thing about Protectos encounters is

The fact that you have to delete them all at the same time. Needless to say, this can be quite annoying.

Unless you have an *Element* Ball chip of course.

All I got from the GMD behind that was 1000 Z.

Above that is a door that requires you to be at least level 70.

I’m at level 100.

This triggers a cutscene.

Like Shadowman, Pharoahman is no longer just a random boss that magically appears!

And it appears he changed jobs from being the protector of the Legendary WWW Area in between Network Transmission and BN 2.

Pharoahman’s two coffins will move to protect him.

And they can do various things, from blowing Wind…

To releasing Rattons.

Every now and then Pharoahman will chant something. When he’s done
