You guys know my track record is good for finishing and whatnot.

Is this "too soon"?
I'm curious about it but I don't have the patience/time to actually play it...so if you want to do it for me, then I won't try to stop you.

Oh, that's a knock against Robin Hood, if ever there was one.

Actually, I think I WILL do Rocket Ranger, since it gives me a flimsy excuse to write that one like a 1930's Newsreel. And that's a good incentive to me.

Plus, it's really short, so I don't have to suffer it long.

Star Fox 64 is a go. Finally. Damn video and sound editing programs! They're such a bitch to use.

I've just about got my Sweet Home LP written up for the first few parts, so please add it to the Queue, I'd like to start it on Monday.

Also, I'd like to propose a LP of Sailor Moon: Another Story.

I'd like to backpeddle on my previous requests.

Having given them a try, I do want wish to play Rocket Ranger, Robin Hood or Infiltrator, at elast I don't want to play them immediately after Deadly Towers. So... anyone who wants to play them instead can go right ahead. I don't.

EDIT!
After deferring to a colleague on the matter, put me down for Princess Tomato in the Salad Kingdom instead!

I am so wanting to play that!

That was my first LP attempt (parts posted to LJ, not here) and it was very... not great. Not much happens in the first few hours except lots of dialog and rehashing a few episodes of the anime. Though every time I tried to play that game, I lost steam by the second of those Senshi Around The World solo quests.

Another Story was a better game than it deserved to be, but there wouldn't be that much to talk about, and I wouldn't imagine it would be useful information. "Megalixirs are cheap in this game. Buy lots of them."

Elifir did a good job at it, despite what Sanagi brings up, overall I doubt I could match up to Elifir's entertaining LP attempt.

Looking back at it, that was definitely before I figured out things like showing multiple pictures at a time and whatnot. That might have helped...

As long as a Sailor Moon Trivia Expert is the one to do it, I'd love to see someone else give it a shot. (I'm at least Journeyman level there but damn that game gets boring fast.)

I think the best way to fill it out would be commentary on the series overall, and how the game might tie into it. Enough of us (even if they won't admit it) are familiar with the series for that to be valuable.

I don't mean to discourage anyone who really wants to do it. It just sounds like a lot of work on one person's part in order to have a Let's Talk About Sailor Moon thread.

It still stuns me that the game's strategy is based on a fun, well-implemented variation on Chrono Trigger's team attack mechanic, and then it makes you play with solo characters for hours on end. Being forced by the plot to have a one-character party is always annoying, but that's ridiculous.

I'm claiming November 30 for Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals... tentatively. My plan is to finish up Bahamut Lagoon up over the course of the next two weeks with Star Fox updating during the switch-over, and with Sword of Seals already written up to Chapter 8x and my sudden surge to finish BL up after five months, I think I can meet that goal easily enough. However, if shit happens (and it can), I'll probably push it back a few weeks so no guarantees just yet - I want Bahamut Lagoon finished and done with before I take on another SRPG LP.

(And yes, I screenshotted all the level ups.)

How does a StarTropics run sound?
I spent the morning toying with Chapter 1, and it seems this could be an LP done in 2 or 3 weeks, tops. I can even scan in the infamous letter!

What's December's schedule look like? The one in the first post goes straight from Nov to Jan.

December's empty, as far as I'm aware. Should I put you down for December 6th?

You said December initially, but later on you mentioned something about doing it at a non-specific time in 2009, which threw me off. In any case, should I put you back down for sometime in December, then?

Nah, I'll go after Christmas. It'll probably be a dismal failure anyway and I wouldn't want to ruin anyone's holiday spirit.

I will be doing an LP on Jet Force Gemini. This is the topic to reserve the spot for the game, correct?

I've already got twenty videos completed, with some currently waiting in the wings for edit and upload. I hope you don't mind, but I'm going to go ahead and post the topic, as I cannot see the game I'm doing on any of the lists.

I really didn't want to chew anybody out here, but the amount of queue-jumping that's been popping up lately has forced my hand. Guys, we've got a queue for a reason. Could you please follow it? If you're going to start at thread for an LP and have to start immediately, then fine, at least post here and ask first, but otherwise please follow the rules we've collectively set so we can keep the subforum from overflowing.

And yes, I know I made a bit of a loophole for video LPs a while back with Alixsar's thread, but with video LP threads now becoming standard I'm closing that one up quick-like. If you're running a video LP and want to start a thread for people to follow, then please try to abide by the queue as well.

Anyway, the threads that have started can keep running as they are, but otherwise any LP starting as to go through the queue (unless alternate arrangements have been made via discussion/PM, in which case an exemption may be made). All right? Thank you.

(I just want to stress that this isn't aimed at any one person - rather, I'm just nipping this one in the bud before it becomes a problem. Nevertheless, my point stands.)

Request time:

Since someone mentioned Rudra's Treasure in another thread, I went and looked at the fan translation page.

Holy crap, someone needs to LP the hell out of this game stat. What could top creating your own spells from scratch for audience interaction?

While trying to figure out exactly I am going to make a Baldur's Gate 2 LP actually work, I considered doing this instead. It's one of my favorite PC RPGs ever. I can't imagine time has been very friendly to it, but at the time it did some pretty astounding things. Good Luck!

I actually still have a pristine boxed copy of the CD release of this game.
