Well, Rudras is fairly traditional, I have the first post and oddity-explanatory spiel all done, and school being out leaves a lot of free time my way (outside? what's that?). I understand that it is a huge undertaking (though perhaps I haven't acknowledged just how huge just yet), but I'll give it a damn good shot.

I haven't had experience LPing an RPG yet, but I think I'm ready after my experience with Lttp. It also helps that Bahamut Lagoon is broken up into chapters, since it gives me specific start and stop times for each installment.

On another note, the derail in the Link's Awakening thread made me realize that I will be seriously sad-face if no one does a Let's Play of Majora's Mask before we finish up the entire queue.

EDIT: By the way, if you guys could, could you bold the name of whatever game you're claiming / queueing up for when you post? It would make it a lot easier for me when I'm sifting through the thread for list updates. Thanks!

Also, I'm thinking of adding a list of Most Wanted games to the front page. Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Ditto!

My idea would be to do it in a deadpan news-reel style chronicling the final days of a doomed world. But, you know, funny.

Most wanted sounds awesome. Top of my list: Saga Frontier. Interactive suffering fun time! Bonus: Getting seven different people for the seven quests. My excuse for not doing it: I don't have a copy anymore

He does. It was underwhelming, even back then. I could run parallel posts. Like, "check this scene with fancy armor", and the next post would be "now check my commando run with mad skillz".

No repetition of side quests allowed! Blue gets his Rune/Shadow/Time magic, and I guess Lute can get Tarot/Light/Space magic. Asellus has to rely on her Mystic magic, and everyone else is kind screwed. :P

And Emelia has to get Dream Super Combo with the main three girls at least. I got annoyed when so many guides claimed Lisa was the only one who could get it.

If someone has a copy and mails it around to whomever's doing the next character upon finishing, that'd be a minimal expense way of doing it.

Emelia has to do the Rune Quest, doesn't she?

DSC stands for "Dangerous Suplex Combo" but don't tell anyone.

I don't think so, I think she just gets the Freedom Rune as part of the first mission, but isn't obligated to finish the quest.

I knew she had to go into one of those areas but couldn't remember which. If she has to get it, fine (heh maybe we won't let Lute pick that one up) but if it's a "might as well pick it up since we're here" thing, bypass it.

Let me be the first to say "NOTRIKI"

I think Roufus tells her to go get the rest of the Runes, but that may just be the player's cue to wait five minutes until you can trigger the next event.

I've done it with charged Shotgun Ice, but it's pretty difficult. It requires precise placement and timing.

Oh man, I still have my copy of SaGa Frontier too. And I bet I can find my strategy guide for it too.

Stop it, you're making me want to play it.

Amusingly: Have the strategy guide, don't have the game.

Timing I'll give you, but placement? Just ride the penguin and jump to the ledge when it drops.

This may well be. I haven't done it in a while. I seem to have memories of the platform immediately dropping if you don't place it just right.

It only drops if you create it mid-air. To grab the heart container, you only need to create it inside the chamber, and ride it from there.

In the interest of making a potentially awesome LP happen:

The SaGa Seven:
Elfir
Zithuan - might be able to get a copy
Octopus Prime?
Turnip?
JFink? - has a copy! :3

Everybody would have to play on the same PS1 emulator and email the save to the next person when they finished if we want to do the final eighth quest thing (which I have never seen so I hope so!)

I have a preference for doing Emelia's quest but am open to negotiations.

While potentially very awesome, I'd have to duck out, as my compy's tiny, tiny brain can't handle a PS1 emulator, also I don't have Saga Frontier.

Also, also, while I do hate myself enough to subject myself to Zelda's second quest for your enjoyment, I don't quite hate myself enough to subject myself to Saga Frontier. Sorry, but I have too much to live for.

I'll do 1/7 of a SaGa Frontier play provided:

1) someone sends me a copy of the game, as I do not own it, and

2) it doesn't count as my next "real" LP. Because, you know, I'd still like to do a fun game.

There's already a really great SaGa Frontier LP out there. Not that you can't do another one, but it would be nice if you could avoid making it redundant.

I didn't know there were LPs elsewhere! Okay, reading that ought to satisfy my need for suffering. ^_^

Yeah, I'd still love to play it again. That game and me got HISTORY baby. First game so painfully hard I ventured online for help.

The one-person-per-part idea is inspired by the way, and should make for even more interesting and varied reading. I say go for it.

So I went down into the Basement of Doom looking for my guide for SaGa Frontier and I wasn't able to find it. Found a bunch of really bad 90's comics and a few good ones, but I found some unexpected gems.

First was the NES Game Atlas by Nintendo Power. For those who don't know, it has maps for all 3 Marios, both Zeldas (including Second Quest!), first 3 Mega Mans, Ninja Gaidens 1 and 2, TMNT 1 and 2, all 3 Castlevanias and Ducktales and Rescue Rangers. This is pure gold right here.

Next is the Top Secret Password guide, which has so many cheat codes and passwords for so many different games I can't list them all.

Thirdly is the SNES guide, which has hints, cheats, maps and strategies for a lot of the early SNES games. Of note: includes UN Squadron and Mystical Ninja.

Finally, I found a couple of the old Valiant Nintendo Comics. Yeah, not the best, but I liked them. Plus Peach goes bad. How can you not like that?

Anyway, on topic. A SaGa LP? hmmm... that's tempting. Not sure who I'd want to play as. I got pretty far as Blue/Rouge (yes, for once on the internet, its meant to be the french for "red").

I think I would like to do this. Who has called what? I think I'd like to do either Asellus or Emelia.
