We'll hit this up.
We spend a CC to move my Dreadnought away from Thibah, so Sarc's Space Dock is no longer Blockaded. You're welcome. Oh, and I guess we'll also move our Cruiser from Tar'Mann to Centauri/Gral. COMMAND COUNTERS Command Pool: 1 Strategy Allocation: 0 Fleet Supply: 4 Activations: 1 Total in play: 7/16 UNITS (Deployed/Total) Space Docks: 1/3, Darien x1 Ground Forces: Centauri x1, Gral x1, East Wormhole x2, Darien x4 Shock Troops: 0 PDS: 2/6, Darien x2 Fighters: East Wormhole x4 Carriers: 3/4, East Wormhole x2, Darien x1 Destroyers: 3/8, East Wormhole x1, Darien x2 Cruisers: 1/8, Centauri/Gral x1, Dreadnoughts: 4/5, Tar'Mann x2, Darien x1, East Wormhole x1 War Suns: 0/2 Units (Location) Darien: Space Dock x1, PDS x2, GF x4, Carrier x1, Dreadnought x1, Destroyer x2 Tar'Mann: GF x1, Dreadnought x2, Centauri: GF x1, Cruiser x1 Gral: GF x1 East Wormhole: GF x2, Fighter x4, Destroyer x1, Carrier x2, Dreadnought x1 Edit: Whoops, I don't think I "Control" Centauri/Gral, since there's no actual flying units there. In that case, I can't move anything else, so I'll just move the Dreadnought over. |

Okay, I have to do my PDS roll first, right?
Let's see... 8 (+1) A hit! |

Re-rollin' it.
2 (+1) A miss... If I announce a retreat before any given round, do my ships fire back or just sit there? Last edited by Epithet; 07-29-2011 at 03:20 PM. |

They fire back.

Remember, Tactical Retreats cost a Strategy Allocation CC. Regular retreats have to go to an adjacent already activated system. I prefer the leeway given with Tactical Retreats.

I'm not retreating! That's cowardly. I'd have to scrap a couple of ships anyway if I did. I really screwed up last round. :I
I'll roll now, since I might not get the chance later today. Carrier: 8 (+1) Fighters: 8 6 8 3 5 (+2) Dreadnoughts: 6 9 5 (+1) 6 hits. |

Dreadnoughtx3: 2,10,10
Cruiserx3: 1, 4, 7 (+1 from Hylar Assault Cannon) Carrierx1: 9 Fighterx6: 8, 9, 6, 2, 7, 8 (+1 from Cybernetics) 7 hits. My fighters are out of the game. Next round! |
#1186

Yow, this is a destructive battle. And an actual hit from a Carrier!
#1187
Yeah, it's kind of scary how effective fighters are when there aren't any Destroyers around. All of us down in the Galactic South have these huge Destroyer complements, so we haven't gotten to see that first-hand.
EDIT: Oh hey! Sarc, on the last map, you missed that I've got Deep Space Cannon. The PDS on Muaat covers Lesab, El'nath, Resculon, and Coorneeq. |
#1188

I'll kill off all my fighters and damage two dreadnoughts. I'd rather get one more shot off from my carrier, and I doubt you have two Direct Hits.
NO RETREATS. NO SURRENDER. |

Alright, Round 2:
Dreadnoughtx3: 5,3,3 Cruiserx3: 9, 6, 2 (+1 from Hylar Assault Cannon) Carrierx1: 7 Three hits |
#1190
Dreadnougats: 9 8 4 (+1)
Carrier: 1 (+1) 3 hits! Killing off my Carrier, damaging one Dreadnought, and killing another. |
#1191
My Dreadnoughts are all damaged now.
Next round Dreadnoughtx3: 7, 10, 5 Cruiserx3: 8, 1, 3 (+1 from Hylar Assault Cannon) Carrierx1: 1 Four hits. That should do it for the rest of your forces after you've taken your last shot. |

I'm playing a certain action card. I may as well post my Round 3 rolls as well. This will be my final attack! 8 6 Two hits! My dreadnoughts fought well and died. Last edited by Epithet; 07-30-2011 at 01:20 AM. |

Direct Hit, which I think we're all familiar with. Even with one fewer opposing Dreadnought, mine still die this round. They never missed a shot!
