You get more Political cards with the Assembly (primary) and Bureaucracy (secondary) Strategy Cards, but not at the end of the round, so you're cool. But you DO get to draw an Action Card along with your 2 CCs, which it looks like you didn't do.
I'll take Leadership. Googleshng is up. Warfare I, Trade II and Bureaucracy remain to be chosen, I believe. |

You get those whenever the Trade Card comes up, not in the Status/Strategy phases.

Yeah, `Hrist, it looks like you may have some extra CCs there. You should have a total of 6 divided among the three areas.
Googleshng, you get 1 Trade Good for the bonus counter. As per the Strategy Card's special instructions (reveal public objectives equal to the number of bonus counters on the card), the first Stage I Public Objective on the list is revealed: STAGE I PUBLIC OBJECTIVE: I am blockading an opponent's Space Dock. (1 VP) You blockade a Space Dock by having at least one of your non-Fighter ships in a system containing an opponent's Space Dock. If you're still blockading during the Status Phase or when executing the primary of the Bureaucracy card, you can claim this objective for a point. The L1Z1X Mindnet will take Trade II. The turn order for this round is as follows: 1. Sarcasmorator — Leadership 2. Lucas — Diplomacy II 3. Egarwaen — Assembly 4. Epithet — Production 5. L1Z1X Mindnet — Trade II 6 `Hrist — Warfare II 7. Severian (SPEAKER) — Technology II 8. Googleshng — Bureaucracy Once more, here's the map going into the new round. And here's the planet names-and-numbers map. The Action Phase begins! The Federation of Sol, wary of neighbors who might be tempted to act on the newly announced public objective, activates its home system and exhausts Lazar and Sakulag for 3 resources with which to build a Cruiser and 2 Fighters:

It is, and some things are harder to keep track of in forum play than they are on the table, I think. I had to check and re-check my own CC count because the file I use to keep track of things didn't match what I'd posted here. I edited my CC total two or three times before I had it right.

I might as well use my Diplomacy II now. I'm executing option B to claim Lodor without spending a CC or Influence.
Planets: Lodor - 3/1 - Green Tech You want the full rundown of what I have? That's the only change from the end of the last round. |

Nah, no need.
To those considering executing the secondary of Diplomacy II, a reminder: To have control of a system you must control all its planets AND have at least one non-Fighter ship in the system. The Federation of Sol passes on the secondary of Diplomacy II. The L1Z1X Mindnet will spend a CC from Strategy Allocation and exhaust Mellon and Zohbat to execute the secondary and annex Quann. COMMAND COUNTERS Command Pool: 2 Strategy Allocation: 0 Fleet Supply: 4 Activations: 0 Total in play: 6/16 PLANETS [0.0.0.] – 5/0 Mellon – 0/2 Zohbat – 3/1 (Blue tech specialty) Quann – 2/1 (Green tech specialty) |

Oh yeah, Egarwaen is up, though we might want to practice waiting on everyone to finish with the secondary before we move on to the next player.

So that means I can't snag something adjacent to Starpoint/New Albion then? Suppose that means I'll have to pass here. And for further clarification- PDS/Ground Troops don't exert system control I take it?

Correct, though you could annex New Albion or Mehar Xull if you wanted. More costly in influence, but saves your ships the trip at the moment. Ground Troops take over planets and defend them, and PDS units help with the latter. But while you can control a planet without having units stationed there, you can't establish full control over a system without a ship.

"You know I'm really looking forward to after our week of debauchery?" the Death Star's First Officer asked.
The captain sighed and turned to look at him, a pained expression on his face. "What's that?" "A nice, velour robe. They even make ones treated with flame-retardant chemicals." "It's VelNor, you idiot. Not veloUr." The Embers of Muaat are activating Velnor/Lisis and moving their War Sun and all its attendant forces from Lesab. I'm leaving a control marker on Lesab and capturing each planet in my new system with two ground forces. COMMAND COUNTERS Command Pool: 2 Strategy Allocation: 2 Fleet Supply: 3 Activations: 1 Total in play: 8/16 PLANETS (Resources/Influence) Muaat (4/1) Lesab (2/1, Green Tech Spec) Resculon (2/0) Coorneeq (1/2, Red Tech Spec) Velor (2/0, Red Tech Spec) Lisis (2/2) UNITS Space Dock - 1x Muaat Ground Forces - 2x Lisis, 2x Velnor, 1x Resculon, 1x Coorneeq Fighters: 4 - 2x Velnor/Lisis, 2x Resculon/Coorneeq Carriers: 1/4 - Resculon/Coorneeq Destroyers: 0/8 Cruisers: 1/8 - Resculon/Coorneeq Dreadnoughts: 0/5 War Suns: 1/2 - Velnor/Lisis Control Marker - Lesab It is now Epithet's Turn |

`Hrist, just post your Diplomacy II decision at the start of your turn, or whenever before then. If you decide to take a planet I don't think it would conflict with anyone else's turn.

I'm activating Production's primary and tapping Ashtaroth, Quinarra, and Abaddon to build Dreadnought x1, Cruiser x1 and Fighter x2 in home space.
PLANETS Quinarra – 3/1 Tren’lak – 1/0 Ashtroth 2/0 Abbadon 1/0 (red tech specialty) Loki 1/2 Perimeter 2/2 UNITS (Deployed/Total) Home space - Fighter x3, Dreadnought x1, Cruiser x1 Quinarra - PDS x1, GF x1, Space Dock x1 A/L/A space- Carrier x1 Abbadon - GF x1 Loki- GF x1 Ashtroth - GF x1 Perimeter space - Carrier x1, GF x1, Fighter x1, Cruiser x1 EDIT: I meant to type primary, sorry. I'm kind of in the habit of saying "secondary" for these things. And I did include the extra resources, so I'm still tapping the same planets. Last edited by Epithet; 06-01-2011 at 05:05 PM. |

I think you mean Production's primary. Don't forget you get 2 free resources to build with.
Sol will pass on the Production secondary. L1Z1X has no CCs in Strategy Allocation and must pass. PRODUCTION 1. Sarcasmorator — PASSED 2. Lucas — SECONDARY 3. Egarwaen — SECONDARY 4. Sure, I'll use this secondary. I'll tap Muaat and Resculon for six resources, and produce a Dreadnought (5 resources) and two Ground Forces (1 resource) on Muaat.

Not sure if I'm jumping in on this or not (can you build docks with it by the way or is it specifically units?) There's kind of a tornado situation here though, so I'll have to get back to this later.

Units only. You have to use the secondary in a system with a Space Dock, and Space Docks don't build other Space Docks.
Good luck with your tornado! |
