Oh god, that was maddening. And hilarious.

Revive was a waste of time on that Monk. I couldn't find anything on Revive not working on Undead units in the BMG, so I assumed it would. Should have checked myself.

Now... what changes should I make? Earth Slash is probably one of them...

I wonder if the monk would ever get two turns in a row, stick a zombie and then follow up with revive? Need to check the BMG to see if revive can be blocked.

Ouch. That Monk could totally have won that fight if it had been Earth Slashing instead of using Yin Yang Magic. Imagine that

The AI really loves Doubt Faith tho, almost as much as it loves Holy.

Oh, I just noticed that Alpha Leo had Distribute equipped instead of Damage Split. It wouldn't have made a difference in the match, for obvious reasons, but I wanted to bring it to your attention for when we get to the Loser's Bracket.

Yes, I am experiencing a lot of auto-schadenfreude right now.

All according to keikaku. Sort of. Unlike Silence, Innocent is not blocked by hair ornaments (though it wears off quickly), so I was hoping it would be prevalent. Just not when it stopped being useful...

That was pretty bad. I'm not going to put spoilers on my commentary. It was bad. At least my team will either lose or win very quickly.

Yes, but then she would have been eating Flares in addition to the Blood Sword attacks. And hopefully my black wizard would have used Foxbird somewhere in there.

Gerad - the 108 Gems was to boost the damage of the Blast Gun.

Let's see who's coming up, shall we?

Next: Torgo vs. Destil

Then:
Aeonus vs. DeeMer
Mogri vs. Traumadore
Gerad vs. Solitayre (poor guy can't catch a break)
dtsund vs. Sanagi
Lilfut vs. Elfir

Place your bets...

No ribbons or abandon? I like those odds. Now watch my priest try to whittle down their HP with holy instead of going for the nice easy status kills.

Get ready to see a ton of Earth Slashes!

I predict the battle never ends, as healing outstrips Earth Slash damage. It'll just be Earth Slash and Chakra all the way down.

Opal basically does seem like a slightly inferior version of Joan. Her one edge is superior HP in exhcnage for no status protection. In this matchup, that doesn't seem like a very useful advantage to have. Kari also seems to be a much stronger unit than Glen. I don't see this ending well for Torgo, he's gonna need some luck. Their team dynamics are virtually identical, and Destil's units just seem better all around.

Opal's way better in a 'see who breaks who's Excalibur first' match, though (abandon does nothing vs. his concentrate while Blade Grasp puts a real damper on mine).

I think it's really a question of how the AI acts, this could go either way.

Well shit. Mogri's lancer is going to walk up to both my guys and stab them to death. I was kinda worried about the lancer ultra-tanks that would be showing up so naturally it's probably all I'll fight.

I don't know; I haven't done the calculations but I think either of your guys may be able to one-shot either of his. I certainly hope for my sake that you have a chance in this one.

I'm taking Elfir, sorry. I'm not sure how your thief is going to do any damage; even Zodiac won't do a lot with only 8 MA (this may be a little off) and 40 faith.

I...hey!

Anyway, I don't know anything about the figures but I see a lancer that is immune to everything, has near perfect evasion, MP switch shenanigans, items to reverse any condition or heal to full, and a deadly spear. I guess my characters are well built against melee, and she took a huge HP hit to have some of those useful armors though.

It'll be interesting to see Ninja Calculator vs. Ninja Mediator at least.

You're reading it wrong, I think! Just saying that since you cloned Cersei and most other teams are similar, so you vs. anyone is similar to me vs. anyone.

Working in your favor here is that Draw Out doesn't care about immunity or near perfect evasion. While it doesn't like MP switch, it does like low HP. Your only problem is that you probably need to combo a draw out on that Lancer with another attack because of Magic Defense UP and shell... but at least if the Lancer's healing, it's not attacking your guys.

You gave my team two Chantages... Can you double check the white magic on Kari too, I'm pretty surprised she didn't spam Holy (especially once she was hurt).

Edit: pretty sure that's not Kari (check 0:27).

I'm just stoked that the whole gimmick of Opal breaking the Ribbon and Glen running in to Charm actually worked.

Well, here's the thing: the unit had almost all the right equipment, so it looked right at a glance. It was completely correct in FFTastic, but something screwed up in the import. FFTastic is not a bug-free product.

The AI was a lot smarter about using those status ailments than I gave it credit for...

But, yes, frogs are scary.
