Actually, the real Jump oddity was when a unit Jumped, the targeted unit got a turn, and she didn't move. It was one of the earlier, superlong videos. Speaking of superlong battles, this one isn't! |

I didn't think it affected Jump, but it does affect the target. The target can move out of the way because it's got Haste.
And Yea, I remember the thing with them getting the turn, and opting not to dodge the Jump. It happened with my Lancer, and Jiku's knight didn't move out of the way for some reason. The AI clearly just doesn't understand Jump. |

I don't usually laugh out loud often, but "there's a pick-me-up" got me. Well done.

Okay, I'm submitting changes.
Changelog: -Added Earth Slash to Bellatrix' Punch Arts. -Added Petrify, Paralyze, and Sleep to Bellatrix' Yin Yang Magic. -Removed Pray Faith from Bellatrix' Yin Yang Magic. -AlphaLeo is still a zombie. -Removed Herobrine. What do you guys think? Am I making a mistake with Earth Slash? Should I trade Two Swords for Concentrate instead? Will the next battlefield actually give my Monk a chance to walk around shield users? Should I leave the cursed ring on, or swap it with an Angel Ring or something? Undead would be a much more interesting status effect if it had 100% chance of revive instead of crystalization, I think. Sort of like a weaker Chantage that comes with a bunch of debilitating weaknesses. |

There's lots of Archers too. I never really realized how thick the game is with them until I ran an Archer SCC. Arrow Guard is delightful when your whole team has it.

Oh, and an interesting observation after rewatching my match with Torzelbaum: That calced Zombie at the beginning of the match should have had around a 5% chance of landing due to the Venetian Shield. It likely only succeeded because of Transparent, which is like temporary Super Concentrate - unlike the Concentrate support ability, Transparent ignores phys and mag evade. This gives me some interesting ideas for some future builds.

Thus ends round 1. We'll be taking a break until everyone's changes are ready. |

One final revision to my team...

Well that was quick. I have no clue how Ralph will perform if he actually does something. We'll probably still get slaughtered when the math monsters come out.

well that could have gone better
I... don't even know where to start with revisions. Should I just reclass Mia? |
#346

What are the rules for revisions? I'm not planning anything drastic but want to know what my limits are.

I don't think straight-up reclassing is allowed. At least it wasn't last time. You're free to juggle equipment and skills around as you like, but the idea was to try refining your original thought for the team rather than scratching it altogether for something else.
Mogri can correct me on this though. |

I'm not going to put a hard rule on it, but the general guideline is that you should keep the spirit of the original team. As long as you don't completely change both units, you'll probably be OK.

You should switch her barrette to a ribbon for better status protection. Baron is better off, but I'd suggest Item instead of that nigh-useless Basic Skill set. You may also want to consider Blade Grasp or MP switch/move MP up instead of Hamedo. |

Code:

I feel like if I completely scrapped Batman, and replaced him with one of those female knights weilding Math Kill + Excalibur and wearing Chantage + a Ribbon, I'd probably be able to run a train through loser's bracket all the way up to Grand Finals.
But I can't bring myself to ditch Batman. He's the goddamn BATMAN. |

Batgirl with the Oracle as offsceen backup?
"Oracle, I need a Holy on every unit with a level multiplier of 3." Wait... I think those are the same character. |

On reflection, the only thing I'm changing is the AI. Hopefully, this'll get Mabel to actually use that Reraise spell she's packing, which in turn will mean no need for Chantage.
Code:
Mabel Female Ninja 70 Br, 70 Fa Protect Allies (Dipper) Throw (Knight Swords) Math Skill (All): -Reraise (White) -Frog (Black) -Stop (Time) -Paralyze (Yin-Yang) MP Switch Equip Shields Move-MP Up H Bag Escutcheon II Ribbon Secret Clothes Setiemson Code:
Dipper Male Knight 70 Br, 70 Fa Save Fading Life Battle Skill (Head Break, Shield Break) Talk Skill (Threaten) Blade Grasp Two Swords Move+3 Excalibur Chaos Blade Grand Helmet Robe of Lords Jade Armlet |

So we are just waiting on Lilfut's changes now?
Quote:
I think Earth Slash is good (you need a way to damage evasion tanks). Two swords/concentrate is a toss-up. The next battlefield almost has to be better in terms of movement freedom. I'd probably go concentrate, but you can obviously only put it on one. |

Frankly, you'd have better odds with no accessory than with Cursed Ring, since Elixir has a 100% hit rate and Raise 2 is unavoidable. (Solitayre can attest that these are not the same thing.)

If you're looking to increase Break %, the the PA boost from Bracer would be negligible, since it's only a straight addition of PA to success (in this case, 3%). Better to go with something defensive.
Concentrate beats Abandon but Two Swords beats Blade Grasp; you have to pick your poison. |
