Cue everyone in the winner's bracket who loses slapping Chameleon Robes on people.
I had no idea that female mimes looked like that. |

Monk with equip armor totally has way more HP than that mime, btw. That Mime actually has the same HP as my Lancer, and he's wearing robes instead of armor.

My monk with Equip Armor had over 800 HP.

Level 99 Monk has 437/466 HP (female/male). Maximillian is +200 HP and Grand Helmet is another 150. So yeah, I was way off.
But it's still a very big number! |

I blinked.
What happened? |

One of the units got a turn.

So that was a fun battle. This next one, though? This is my favorite.
What is the most powerful status effect? |

Great thread.
Has anybody told Mogri he's a genius today? Someone really ought to tell him at least daily he's a genius, I feel.
Just great. |

Hah, love that last fight. I didn't expect to see that either, but that was definately worth the watch.

43 seconds in and I can already tell Mabel's build is screwed up. She's supposed to have Reraise, not Holy.

That one lived up to the hype.
I still think tons of damage > talk skill, but this battle has proven that talk skill > some damage. Lancers are such loners that it was tough for PrivateJoker's units to coordinate enough attacks to kill anything off, and when you're on a chicken timer, that's deadly. |

dtsund: Fixed. (I can rerun the battle if you want...)

re: my match vs Traumadore, I did foresee hitting the Mime with Holy, but I was worried that MA UP might kill the mime. Keep in mind without shell, 441 will kill quite a few units. MA UP+HOLY might have killed the mime. However 800 HP across the board should kill just about everyone. I believe my Priest is the fastest unit in the game thanks to haste.

Pretty sure there are Setiemson Ninjas on some teams.

I don't know if it's necessary; Talk Skill would've wreaked the same havoc either way, I'd have just had more difficulty killing them once they were birds. I'll let PrivateJoker have a rematch if he wants one, though.
EDIT: And yeah, I have a Setiemson Ninja; Mabel is probably faster than your priest. |

Batman isn't supposed to have Wave Fist. I took that away from him so he would maybe Throw a Chaos Blade at some point in his lifetime, which would actually do an amount of damage that wasn't a waste of time. As it turns out, Wave Fist ended up being literally the only thing he ever used, to no useful effect, as suspected. So... yea.

My monk never, ever threw anything either, to the point where he spent every turn doing nothing instead of throwing things. I think the AI just doesn't like to throw Chaos Blades.

It's because the AI plays it safe with accuracy over damage. So it would rather use the attack that's more likely to hit, rather than the one that will do more damage. Probably the biggest problem I have with what happened is that he wasted his invisibility getting off... a Wave Fist. If he had thrown a Chaos Blade, or played it safe and waited to get into melee range, he would have killed the enemy ninja. But instead, he used Wave Fist (which he's not supposed to have) and basically did nothing.
Batman has the power to completely knock out a lot of opponents with his first attack (which is a guaranteed hit, because he's invisible). But he was wasting it by using dumb shit, like Earth Slash and Wave Fist. That's why I removed both those moves from his Punch Arts. |

Fair enough.
Though my changelist was submitted before there were any particular rules set forth for how changes were to be made, and when the rules were put in place, you had already accepted my changes. I would've updated that if you'd asked me to |

This is especially important if you've changed your team's AI. I know there was at least one team (dtsund's?) who declared an AI change but didn't update the team post. Please do that. (The reason for this is that I only have to change your team once, but I have to set the unit AI in every battle, so I use the team post as reference.) I used the correct AI for this round, but there's a good chance I'll forget before 2L. |

See, I knew Batman would start actually killing things once he stopped wasting time with Wave Fists and Earth Slashes! Glad to see I was able to make him do something useful, instead of just being dead weight around Robin's neck. Still, it's kinda weird that the opposing ninja kept insisting on approaching, though I guess I can't blame her when Holy was taken away from her.
I'm mostly just happy to see them finally functioning as a team, the way I intended them to. They did everything perfectly, as opposed to embarassing themselves, after only a few minor tweaks. I feel like I've learned a bit about how to force the AI to make your team function the way you want it to, instead of just making each individual unit as OP as possible. You should always have faith in Batman. Last edited by PrivateJoker; 07-06-2013 at 03:26 AM. |

Yeah, I don't get it either. Not sure why she didn't ever use Reraise either...

The other reason is that she had Raise 2 instead of Reraise. I ran another match with the correct spell and it ended almost as quickly as reinoe's last match. Your Ninja really, really loves rushing the other team, and Threaten makes Batman use Throw over melee attacks. With her one action, Mabel used CT 5 Stop, which hit Robin. Batman did not need Robin to win. |
