Mogri: "It's very gratifying to see your team do exactly what they're supposed to do."
I can vouch that the exact opposite (in both parts of the sentence) is much, much truer. |

I can vouch for both of those.

Man, those guys played so well that now I'm scared. Do lancers smell fear too*? Because it looks like Sanagi's got traumatized by that counter jump and decided she didn't want to contribute anymore. Her loss, if she'd managed to land one on Mogri's Lancer things could have ended very differently. Instead the lancer set to Run like Rabbit charges in and jumps constantly and the one set to Save Fading Life runs and hides without trying to defend herself. LOL AI..
I'm gonna have to give the Semifinal round to Mogri... that Lancer of his is a defensive god against MA-based attacks like Triple Flame and Triple Thunder. I'm going to have to hope Koromaru can either close to melee range through a hail of Chaos Blades and Jumps to hit her from behind (at least he has fly). Triple Bracelet (deals 50% of max HP) might have been a good choice, but Beverly has an odd number of HP; two of those will leave her with 1 HP left and an Elixir in her pocket. And that's all assuming he doesn't spend all his turns killing the Chantage Ninja over and over. And if Yuko tries to go it alone again, no amount of MP switch luck will keep her going forever like she could against Destil's team. *That new tag made me laugh. |

Looser's bracket changes
Kari: Changed Cure 4 to Cure 3, changed Doubt Faith to Foxbird, changed AI from save fading life to run like a rabbit, added reraise. Joan: Added Speed Break, changed Concentrate to Maintenance. |

Aeonus: It's a strong pair, but it's not invincible. Deanna has no way to revive Beverly, and Koromaru could easily overwhelm Beverly on bad terrain. Beverly is nearly impossible to kill, but if she ever dies, that's it -- because Deanna spends most of her time examining the dirt very closely.

Fair enough... a closer look at the BMG indicates that, although MA shows up twice in the damage for Triple Thunder/Flame, Shell and MDef Up only affect one instance, while I thought in my previous post it affected both. So while You've got one of the few possible builds that can survive a full 3/3 hits, he can still probably kill her eventually.
Hey, whoever fights Destil next? Please win! I don't want a rematch anymore. |

Losers:
Destil, Sanagi, reinoe, Torzelbaum, PrivateJoker, and DeeMer. Winners: Mogri and Aeonus. Ultimate showdown! In case anyone is wondering, yes, we are waiting on Sanagi.

Hmm. Nah. They may be a losing team, but I won't second-guess them now. Full steam ahead!

Where da finals at? I'm eager to see how many more teams, that look way superior to me, that I can roll over before I'm eventually stopped due to lack of chantage.

Destil vs. reinoe here. These teams are in no real hurry to kill each other, so grab a drink and some popcorn. (Video is processing right now, but might not be by the time you read this.) The remaining battles in 3L: Sanagi vs. PrivateJoker Torzelbaum vs. DeeMer |

Joan has 100% magic evade, so the AI isn't going to go for Demi or Flare from the front. This team is built entirely to deal with the Math Skill mirror.

Yeah, I fully expect to lose against any halfway decent team. While I did select Mime in order to circumvent MOVEMPUP, I could have chosen Wizard with draw out for times like this. I just wanted to show off a Mime.

You had a good run in the losers' bracket. Unfortunately, your team really has nothing to deal with the perfect M-Ev + Holy absorb combo.

After I finish the tournament, I'm going to record a bonus video with Gerad's team versus the winning team where Cersei has the full range of Draw Out abilities.

Eee he he he...
I do think my team could have done fine in this tournament. A combination of bad luck (this includes AI decisions) and going up against the worst-case opposition did me in. |

Sorry, I got the pairings wrong. This is Sanagi vs. DeeMer, and the other battle is Torzelbaum vs. PrivateJoker.
This battle is... really something. |

Oh shit... My team has to go up against Batman and Robin?

Your team.... is actually going to be a bit of a problem for me. Both your units have auto-protect, so I won't be dropping you as easily as I do most people. Batman is probably going to have to land both his attacks on your wizard to get her down, and even then she'll just get right back up. Your knight is gonna be a HUGE pain in the ass to bring down, because I doubt Batman can even bring her down if he landed both hits. This means Robin is gonna have to jump her, which is no easy feat, consdierign you probably have autohaste from an excalibur. The ONLY thing I have going for me is that your wizard does not outspeed either of my units. Your knight, however, does. She won't have very much luck trying to kill either of my guys, but she's a damage sponge that will probably keep Batman distracted long enough for you to get something lucky.
I... don't really know how you'll kill Robin. If you manage to break his shield, he'll be in huge trouble, but that's almost impossible to do (though not completely impossible, so I'm not counting it out) If it gets into a battle of attrition, you'll probably last long enough to get that lucky break, and then he'll be rightly fucked. |

To be honest, though, I'm not sure how much it would have helped. Even if she didn't get Frogged, her only means of curing Brenque were to land another Frog spell at 13% success. The real killer may have been that first wasted turn, but that's the AI I chose. It's a shame; I loved watching Brenque's work.

And yes, my Knight does have Auto-Haste from Excalibur. edit: Also, as usual my success will depend on my AI team not being complete morons. |
