All the cards are in!

Check of 8, Green and Purple (Lea, Tac)

Lea - Executive Order 1
Lea - Executive Order 2
Lea - Declare Emergency 4
Lea - Declare Emergency 4
Tac - Launch Scout 1
Tac - Launch Scout 1
Tac - Launch Scout 1
Tac - Launch Scout 2

16 Positive, a Pass! Destiny was on your side, and you really wanted to fix the Cylon Detector.

Heavies are launched from each Basestar, and jump prep goes up by one.

Right so.

I'm starting to think we don't actually have a cylon yet. I can't imagine that they wouldn't have wanted to disable this permanently.

Hrm.

We're still pretty badly damaged, and the Chief must have at least a Repair card or two in his stack. So, I'm going to play:

Lea - Executive Order 1

On the Chief. Get to fixing, Mr. Fixit!

Chief's "Maintenance Engineer" ability lets him take another action after he repairs a location. Unfortunately, he can't repair one location, then move and repair another place. He can repair a place then activate it on the same turn, though.

True. But he could fix Communications and use it to move those civvies further away, or fix the Hangar Deck so I can launch Helo in a Viper next time around. Armory's OK to leave broken for now, I think. In any case, having 3/6 areas damaged and two Basestars on the board is a poor situation, and repairs are in order.

Moving to the Hangar Deck and using Repair - 1.

Then I'm Playing Consolidate Power - 1 to get two more Engineering cards.

Hanger Deck is repaired, and Chief calls up to the CIC for more knuckle draggers to help him fix stuff.

Crisis Step

Admiral, you've got some uprising going on. More ships feel they are being treated poorly, and won't resupply Galactica until they get what they want.

Resistance

Check of 12, Yellow, Green, Purple (Pol, Lea, Tac)

Pass: No Effect,

9+, -1 food,

Fail: -1 food, -1 fuel

Activate Heavy Raiders

Jump Prep: Yes

Check order
Destiny: 2 cards, is refilled.
Baltar: 2 cards
Apollo: 2 cards
Chief: 1 card
Boomer: 0 cards
Helo: 1 card

What does this mean? If we get over 9 we lose 1 food but don't we need 12 to even pass it?

Yes, sorry, since this is the first one of these I should have clarified. Checks can also have a Partial Pass like this one. If you get the full amount, then yay, nothing happens, but if you only get to 9-11, then you only lose 1 food instead of 1 food and 1 fuel. Basically you couldn't talk diplomatically to them, and they destroyed the food supply but you didn't have to send out the strike force to get the same effect.

Presumably, that if you fail but still get over 9, you don't suffer the full effects of failure.

I can help a little, but I'll see how many cards you all toss in first. We can afford to lose a food point, but we should try to save that fuel, at least.

All votes are in.

Positive
Pol - Consolidate Power 1
Pol - Consolidate Power 1
Pol - Consolidate Power 1
Pol - Consolidate Power 2
Pol - Investigative Committee 4
Lea - Declare Emergency 3
Lea - Declare Emergency 3

Negative
Eng - Repair 1

15 - 1 = 14, a pass! You convinced the ships it's in their best interest to keep Galactica full of supplies.

The Heavies move down closer to the launch bay. One more activation and a centurion will board.

Jump prep moves, one more activation and you can FTL your way outta there.

Baltar discards Lea - Executive Order 1 and flies over to Command and plays Eng - Repair 1 to bring it back into shape.

Baltar joins the rest of the crew over on Galactica, and shows Chief a thing or two about fixing stuff.

Crisis Step

So, apparently the Resisting ships resisted a bit too much, and now there's a

Food Shortage

President Chooses

-2 food,

OR

-1 food, President discards 2 Skill cards, then current player discards 3 Skill Cards

Activate Raiders

Jump Prep: yes

What would you like for your Crisis Draw? And are you willing to drop 5 skill cards to save a food?

If no one objects, I'm going to choose the -2 to food. I'll take a Tactics card for my draw.

Baltar makes the tough decision to sacrifice a second food ship so he can actually do something the next 5 turns. -2 food, at 7.

Raiders activate, and since there aren't any, two spawn from each Basestar.

Jump Prep is at -3, FTL is active.

Perfect draw. And I do believe I'm going to stay here and use Maximum Firepower - 4 to add a few to my kill count. Targeting the heavy raider first, then the two light toasters.

Rolls:
7
8

7

That's 3 dead ships! Just in time for:

Crisis Step

Tactical Assault

Cylon Attack

1. Activate Raiders,

2. Setup: Bow: heavy, Starboard-Aft: civvy, Aft: civvy, Port-Aft: 2 vipers, civvy, Port-Bow: 5 raiders, 1 basestar.

3. Special Rule: Hangar Assault: Damage 2 vipers in the reserve

Alright! The remaining 2 vipers are activated, and move to Starboard-Aft. All ships are spawned in the new locations, except for the basestar. Finally, the remaining 2 vipers in reserves are damaged.
