When it is Chief's turn: No cards.

Apollo cannot contribute anything to this at all.
Man, one of these days, I'll pew pew a raider or something. |

Gaius is being flaky and can't contribute.

Boomer has no contribution

You are all Cylons.

Wow, does this sort of thing happen a lot?
#67
Wild, unfounded accusations? If the game is being played right!
Totally blown skill checks? Oh, yeah. |
#68
It does if you don't talk to the other players before choosing to take a skill check.
I'll get to the calculations later, but it's probably not good. |

You didn't foresee this outcome when so few people have cards? And you had a choice in the matter?
What's that about, huh Sarc? HUH?! |
#70
Just like a Cylon to accuse everyone else of being a Cylon. Eh, Cylon?
#71
Look, everyone, settle down. I'm sure the gods have seen fit to grant us a bitching party right after that clearly stressful bomb threat.
It's not like the rest of you are cylons and I'm just hanging out alone in space. Last edited by Rai; 09-10-2011 at 02:07 AM. Reason: Hah, fracking autocorrect |

Sarc/Helo, as I said, since you are the current player, you can choose to save your cards, or try to pass it yourself. You still going to contribute?

Mm, better not. Still a bit shaky on procedure for this PBF, and didn't realize everyone was so short on cards.
Let's take the -1 morale hit. |
#74
It would have been -2 morale, since you said you'll do the check. When you went barreling along with that without consulting, I should have sent you a PM. Human or Cylon, that was a really dumb move. The +1 morale is enticing, but if you can't pass it on your own including whatever Destiny will throw at you, it's best to play it safe. I'm not saying that you couldn't, just that you probably shouldn't.
In the interest of keeping the game going smoothly, and that we are all first-timers to this format, I will allow you to pick Option B and take the -1 morale hit. That big of a hit this early would have been much worse than if a civvy ship was blown up last time. I will also include the number of cards everyone has at in the Turn Status post. Remember that people may spend cards in between I put up that notice and you come to a skill check, so keep watching the skies! The Admiral poo-poo'd on the holiday dedicated to extravagant resource spending, and the fleet was sad. -1 morale. Basestars Attack! 8! Would be a hit! I'll take the initiative and say that Helo will use his ability to reroll a die that was just rolled on his turn. Note that he may only do this once, so whatever comes up next is the keeper. 7! Still a hit! We do the RNG on the Galactica tokens... FTL Control! You may no longer force-jump Galactica out of harm's way. At least, until you repair it. At least Jump Prep advances. One more and you can jump out with FT... Moving on. Last edited by John; 09-10-2011 at 09:09 AM. |

"Bloody hell, do I have to do everything myself?" Gaius thinks as he moves to FTL Control.
When he gets there, he starts pointing at various people and says "No, trust me, I'm your President. I'm very smart. Pull that lever right there." I play the Repair card to fix up the FTL Control room. |

FTL is fixed! Gaius played a Eng - Repair 2 card.
When playing cards, please post the value as well, in case you have more than one card of the same type. Crisis Step! Uh-oh, Admiral. The public really wanted to gorge and use the brand new vomitorium they installed in Airlock 2 for Colonial Day. We're seeing reports of... Riots Admiral Chooses -1 food, -1 morale, OR -1 population, -1 fuel Cylon: Basestars Attack Jump Prep: Yes Pick your poison! Keep your Population and Fuel up by letting the rioters bowl over the food supply, and the general public hates you, or lose some fuel to fly around and kill the rioters (and 1 pop). Even though the Crisis Cards are very dry with their choices, you can suss out the thematic bits by reading the flavor text (which I have to leave out per Fantasy Flight Games rules on online versions) and envisioning what the resources are composed of. For this pick, let me explain the 4 resources we've got here. Fuel: Used for jumping away. Will very rarely be replenished by Crisis or Destination cards, but usually at a great cost. You start at 8 Fuel. Food: Keeps the people fat and happy. Can be replenished by Quorum and Crisis cards, but starts relatively low (8 Food) Morale: This is the actual happiness quotient of the fleet. If the government is doing a good job and is steering them towards Kobol, then they will sit back and shut up. These can be replenished by Quorum and Crisis cards. You start with 10 morale. Population: The actual people in the fleet. You lose this if a Civvy ship is blown up, or if you put down some rioters, etc. Starts the highest (12) but there are many ways to lose pop. There may be crisis cards that let you find lost human fleets to raise pop, but I don't know of any off hand. You do have 12 of them, however. In my experience, Morale and Food are the most likely to be lost, but that's because my groups have typically played over militarily. You protect the civvy ships, at all cost, and other resources will suffer. Best bet is to play a well balanced game, but that's definitely easier said than done, with 2 players on the other side. Does Gaius still get to pick a Skill Card even though the Crisis Card doesn't call for a Skill Check?

Yes! Which one would you like?
Also to all, I will forget about your character's Special Abilities from time to time. Please keep me on track and honest! |

I'd like 1 Tactics card.

I choose to lose population and fuel this time around.
Eh, I was at work and a bit distracted. Will consider more carefully next time. |

Screw those rioters. XO, organize a strike force!
The fleet loses some people, but they weren't nice anyway. One Fuel is burned also. Basestar Attacks again! Roll the die: 1, a miss! Jump Prep advances! You are now in range to jump with FTL Control, you just might leave a few people behind in the process. |

Turn 4, Apollo
Character Locations and Current Hand Size Boomer: Bow (in viper), 3 cards Admiral Helo: Heading Home, 6 cards President Baltar: FTL Control, 5 cards Apollo: Port Bow (in viper), 8 cards Chief: Hanger Deck, 2 cards Board Status Galactica: Ship Shape Colonial One: Rocking Raptors: 4 Vipers 8 (4 in play, 4 in reserves) Resource Dials (Fuel, Food, Morale, Population: 7, 8, 9, 11 Jump Prep: [start] [X] [X] [-3] [-1] [auto] Boarding Party: nonexistent Distance: 0 Ship locations Bow of Galactica: 1 Basestar, 3 Raiders, 1 Manned Viper (Boomer) Port-Bow: 1 Manned Viper (Apollo), 1 Unmanned Viper Port-Aft: 1 Unmanned Viper Aft: 2 Civvy's Apollo, what will your split draws be? |

I'll take two Politics cards this turn, I think.
As for my action, Apollo will move into the Cylon occupied space and then use Executive Order - 1 on Boomer. I would highly suggest you make stuff explode around us. |

Boomer, you get 2 actions with your XO. You may shoot, move, do whatever you wish. Only thing you can't do is issue another XO. Last edited by John; 09-11-2011 at 05:16 PM. |

Nice Shooting!
When you had them in your sights, something occurred to you. Something from the cockles of your heart, maybe subcockles, telling you where to go. "Admiral! I know the way to Kobol!" Crisis Step Legendary Discovery Check of 14, Purple and Red (Tac, Pil) Pass: Place this card next to the Kobol Objective card, it counts as 1 distance, Fail: -1 food and destroy 1 raptor Launch Raiders Jump Prep: no +1 distance Contribution order will be Chief, Boomer, Helo, Baltar, Apollo. This will move you 1 step closer to victory (if you're a Human), and can potentially make it to the Sleeper Phase with a lucky card draw on Destination (and a benevolent Admiral). |
