Well, that was brutal.

Chief will take and Engineering an a Piloting card and then head over to Caprica and look at two Crises.

Crisis Step
Chief has spoken: There Will Be... Riots Admiral Chooses -1 food, -1 morale, OR -1 population, -1 fuel Yes, you have seen this one before, yet another example of cards that will be removed from my copy next time I play in real life. It would have launched Raiders and no Jump Prep, but those are ignored on a Caprica activation. What say you, Admiral? |
#665
Down with food and morale.

Down they go.
Turn 41, Boomer Character Locations and Current Hand Size Destiny Deck: 8 cards Boomer: Hanger Deck, 9 cards Admiral Helo: Research Lab, 0 cards, 1 Nuke President Baltar: Weapons Control, 4 cards, 4 Quorum Cards Apollo: Caprica, 3 cards Chief: Caprica, 3 cards, 1 Super Crisis Board Status Galactica: 5/6, Armory out Colonial One: Rocking Civilian Ships: 12/12, 1 in play Raptors: 2/4 Vipers: 8/8 (0 in play, 7 in reserves, 1 damaged, 0 destroyed) Resource Dials: Fuel, Food, Morale, Population: 5, 5, 5, 4 Jump Prep: [start] [X] [X] [-3] [-1] [auto] Boarding Party: nonexistent Distance: 6 Ship locations Bow of Galactica: Clear Port-Bow: Clear Port-Aft: Clear Aft: 1 Civvy Starboard-Aft: Clear Starboard-Bow: 3 Raiders Boomer, what's the plan? |
#667
I think I'm going to Launch Scout.
#668
Boomer stays where she is, and plays a Tac - Launch Scout 2.
Rolls a 4, Raptor mission was a success. What would you like to look at, Crisis or Destination? |
#669
What say you, fellow humans?
#670
Destination. We need a 2 or better for the next jump. (Actually, preferably just a 2, since the 3s tend to have nasty side effects).
#671
Alright then, show me Destination, oh Master of Destiny
#672
Destination sent, lemme know if it stays or goes.
Crisis Step Since both cylons are known, it's a perfect time for... Cylon Screenings Check of 9, Yellow and Green (Pol & Lea) Current Player Chooses: Pass: No Effect, Fail: -1 morale, and current player looks at 1 random Loyalty Card belonging to the President or Admiral. OR Each player discards 2 skill cards. Activate Raiders Jump Prep: no Boomer, what shall we do? Remember that Cylons can ignore any effects from Crisis Cards. |
#673
Keep the Destination on top.
And is everyone okay with dropping a couple cards? |
#674
Sure. I don't have any anyway, which doesn't negate that choice — from what I recall, the only discard for which a player discarding MUST have cards to do so is Roslin's drawback. Otherwise, you just discard as many as possible.
#675
Yeah, I'm fine with discarding.
#676
What'll it be, Boomer?
#677
Alright, let's discard.
I'll drop: Tac--Launch Scout 2 Pil--Evasive Maneuvers 1 |
#678

Boomer and Baltar decide to bribe the committee into getting free passes outta the screenings.
The Raiders are activated, and move next door to the lone civvy ship. Jump calculations aren't going anywhere. Recon crisis is away, and once that and Baltar's discards are decided it's time for Helo's turn. Last edited by John; 10-25-2011 at 08:50 AM. |

Turn 42, Admiral Helo
Character Locations and Current Hand Size Destiny Deck: 8 cards Boomer: Hanger Deck, 6 cards Admiral Helo: Research Lab, 5 cards, 1 Nuke President Baltar: Weapons Control, 2 cards, 4 Quorum Cards Apollo: Caprica, 3 cards Chief: Caprica, 3 cards, 1 Super Crisis Board Status Galactica: 5/6, Armory out Colonial One: Rocking Civilian Ships: 12/12, 1 in play Raptors: 2/4 Vipers: 8/8 (0 in play, 7 in reserves, 1 damaged, 0 destroyed) Resource Dials: Fuel, Food, Morale, Population: 5, 5, 5, 4 Jump Prep: [start] [X] [X] [-3] [-1] [auto] Boarding Party: nonexistent Distance: 6 Ship locations Bow of Galactica: Clear Port-Bow: Clear Port-Aft: 3 Raiders Aft: 1 Civvy Starboard-Aft: Clear Starboard-Bow: Admiral, what's the fleet doing today? |
#681
Gotta protect our civvy ship. I'll move to Communications and check it out. The ship will move to the southeast space in any case.
#682
Ship's moved, and Boomer says to bury the last Crisis.
Crisis Step Someone's been raiding the storage lockers, we've got another Food Shortage President Chooses -2 food, OR -1 food, the President discards 2 Skill cards, then current player discards 3 Raiders Activate Jump Prep: yes President (whoops), how will you resolve the food shortage? I'm the current player too, so that would be all my cards. So, lose 2 food or lose 1 and be unable to help with any crises until my next turn? Nasty choice.
Boomer, Baltar, what say you? Can you handle things without me for a round? |
#684
It would only be 3 of your cards, and both of Baltar's cards. And it's Baltar's choice, my mistake.
#685
Is our food levels at a good position to lose 2?
#686
Oh, right. Duh.
We have 5 food, so losing 2 is risky, especially if the remaining Super Crisis targets food, but losing 5 cards could be worse with two Cylon turns coming right up. Not sure either choice would be less harmful than the other. But if you and I drop our cards I'm pretty sure the Super Crisis will be unbeatable if played. EDIT: Actually, none of the remaining Super Crisis cards target food. Might be worth taking the extra food hit to hold onto some cards. |
#687
My turn is next so I would have at least four cards, but then it would just be about what the crisis would be. Maybe we should see what Boomer thinks.
#688
We need every card we can get. Drop the two food.
#689
"I'm sorry, but the filthy Cylon Pilot and filthy Cylon Mechanic contaminated the food with their filthy Cylon cooties. We're dumping it!"
-2 to food |
#690
Food's down to 3, and the Raiders swing over to Aft.
Jump Prep is at -3 Pop to jump. |
