Ordinarily, I'd be against using FTL -3 this soon, but we stand a good chance of losing 3 Pop anyways if Raiders activate. We are in trouble.

Thoughts?

I'd say go to Communications, move the at-risk civilian ship out of harm's way, and then I'll activate FTL with my re-roll in two turns.

"Hey! Idiots! Get your asses out of the way! Some can openers are about to open your skulls!"

Moving to Communications and activating it. I'll be expecting the contents of those ships in my inbox.

Remind me again: What direction do raiders go if civvy ships are equal distances away?

Now if ships are destroyed in an area with more than one civvy in them, who chooses which gets destroyed?

Current Player, but they can take advice from someone who might know better.

Right then.

Move the Port-Bow one to Port-Aft.

Move the Starboard-Aft one to the Aft.

And if we have to destroy some in the Aft before we jump, please destroy the one I just moved, whoever's turn it will be.

Crisis Step

Uh, Chief, Starbuck just hijacked one of those raider type toasters. You think you can do something with it?

Analyze Enemy Fighter

Check of 7, Purple and Blue (Tac and Eng)

Current Player Chooses:

Pass: Repair 1 Destroyed Raptor,

Fail: -1 population.

OR

Roll a die, if 4 or lower, -1 pop and current player discards 2 skill cards

Activate Raiders

Jump Prep: Yes

Honestly? This one isn't that bad, and I'm already above my hand limit. So I'm thinking of just rolling the die and throwing away two junk cards if we lose rather than putting big ones into the check.

Anyone want to contribute a die helper? (I'm not sure it would be worth it, but I'm just checking if someone is swimming in them before we roll.)

I don't have a die helper, but those odds are decent. I could help a bit for the skill check, though, so whatever you decide works for me.

Destiny: 2 cards
Boomer:
Helo:
Baltar:
Apollo:
Chief:

Just go with the die. Humans have a tendency to overdo checks, this Crisis isn't that bad, and it's important we keep trying to conserve skill cards for when we really need them.

Chief, remember your hand limit is 8, because you're Reckless. Good thing Callie's not in this game, or you might be thrown into the brig already. So, die or not, you will have to discard 3 cards at the end of the turn.

What? I have to discard cards either way, so I don't see the problem.

Also, I should have 9 cards in my hand.

Will do. You know the risks.

Die roll: 2. -1 pop, down to 9.

Raiders are activated, and the 2 in Starboard-Aft move to Aft, while the 5 in Port-Bow move to Port-Aft.

Jump Prep is at -1.

Chief, please post your 3 discards. PM'd about hand discrepancy.

With an Exec, I can repair all the vipers.

Also, you can jump us, but Helo is next and can reroll.

But it's up to you, Boomer.

I say get us out of here. I'm not sure we can delay civvy destruction anymore. Though I do have a card that could help a pilot.

We'd need a lot of those cards is the thing. If we don't have a whole mess of them, chances are we'd lose at least one civvy and at least one Pop.

If not, we may just want to jump.

I guess I did have 11 after all, so I'm discarding:

Pol - Consolidate Power 1
Lea - Executive Order 1
Eng - Scientific Research 3

And even if the raiders didn't activate this round, the Heavy could land this turn or the basestars could fire again, giving us two damage and not a lot to show for it.

This is the situation where switches were made for punching.

Everyone but Helo/Sarc has checked in, but nobody offered up a Strategic Planning last time when 1 pop was also on the line. It's your call.

Meant for the Strategic Planning request, I am a creepy stalker and infer that whenever one of you logs in you check this thread first. I know you're itching to push the button.

Alas, President Baltar can't help with the roll.

Punch it, Chewie
