Baltar's silence is a little disturbing but I do want to give the probable Cylon a chance to say what he could contribute since he does have some Engineering.
But yeah, it's looking like I should just save my cards so I can repair Weapons Control on my turn. |

It is. Things are really hopping now that we're past the Sleeper Phase.

Honestly, would I have played Investigative Committee if I was the other Cylon? I can contribute a good amount to help pass the skill check and everything I played would be for all the world to see. |

Alright, I'm going to gamble that I draw another repair on my turn. I contribute:
Eng - Repair 2 Eng - Repair 2 and pray to the Gods. |

16 to go. Boomer, if you're putting in make it a good one.

I'll add Eng - Scientific Research 4 to the pile. Best I can do.
Anyway, I'm going to say it again -- I'm not the Cylon. And since I don't think it's Helo or the Chief, I'm pointing my finger at Baltar. |

Well, hell.
Tac - Launch Scout 1 Tac - Launch Scout 2 Nine points to go. |

9 points, eh?
Scientific Research - 3 Scientific Research - 3 Repair - 2 Repair - 1 |

All Cards are in!
Current Totals: 21 - 14 = 7, a Pass! Launch Raiders doesn't happen, and Jump Prep stays where it is. |

Can't believe you burned everything to stop that. Amazing.

Well gee, that was really touching that everyone managed to use up their cards in order to just barely pass the crisis.
But, you see, the Chief has this Blind Devotion. To the Cylons. (And confirmed with the GM that it can be used after an investigative committee) For this check, all Engineering cards will count as zero. Beep bloop. |

If anyone's curious or has misgivings, this thread has confirmation from the creator that IC doesn't affect Tyrol's once per game.
Updated totals: 3 - 14 = -11, a fail. -1 Population, and Fleet Token goes back to Start. Ponder where humanity went wrong, and I'll be back in the morning. |

HOLD IT
Can I use my ability to pass any crisis? Should I? And I'm sorry I ever doubted you Gaius. |

Boomer, your OPG only takes effect before a Skill Check is resolved. You can't change this result.

It's cool, I thought the other Cylon was you or Helo.

Man, I could have sworn the other Cylon was either Helo or Baltar until the Chief's last turn.
I mean, who makes Boomer the VP? |
#593

Welp, there goes that mystery. Well played, Red.
And hey, `Hrist, don't fret. You'll be able to use your OPG to pass whatever Super Crisis they hurl our way. Those hit harder than this one did. And I can reverse a choice on a crisis card as well. The next two turns are going to be rough, though, with Rai and Red likely revealing back to back. We gotta get you outta the brig, Boomer. What I really want to know is: Sleeper Phase? Or all along? |

Well, I can use this time to go over the character's Once Per Game ablilties. Chief, as you have seen, has Blind Devotion, which lets him pick a card type and say screw you, you don't count.
Apollo is the Captain of the Air Group (CAG), so he could activate up to 6 unmanned vipers. Fat chance now. Gaius Baltar has a working Cylon Detector, but it only lets him look at one Loyalty card for one player lets him totally out anyone. Normal players have two in the end game, but Gaius and Boomer have 3. Again, little chance of this being used in this game. Sharon "Vice President" Boomer Valerie has Mysterious Intuition. Once Per Game, before a skill check is resolved, she can choose the result to be a Pass or Fail without contributing hella amounts of Engineering cards. Finally, Admiral Helo "Can I Get a Break" Agathon can modify a player's choice on a crisis card. Any card that has an OR modifier can be affected by his Moral Compass. Sleeper as well. I can't believe that we managed to get so far without Cylons.

It's all about odds, and with both the extra loyalty characters being in the game the odds were lower but evened. I don't know what that means but it sounds good.
Back to the game in the morning. |

Delicious play there, you two.
Interjecting once again (and sorry I didn't interject a second time in regards to actions and abilities available in the Brig), but to make sure it's clear before it gets to that point: character abilities, including once-per-game abilities, cannot be used to affect Super Crisis Cards. Why? Because they're Super, that's why. And because the rulebook (p.19) and official FAQ say so. Back to the shadows~ |

I'm always happy to hear from our resident rules god. The FAQ also had a specific section on the "Blind Devotion + Investigative Committee".
Turn 34, Lee Skinjob Apollo Character Locations and Current Hand Size Destiny Deck: 6 cards Boomer: Brig, 8 cards Admiral Helo: FTL Control, 4 cards, 1 Nuke President Baltar: President's Office, 8 cards, 4 Quorum Cards Apollo: Hanger Deck, 7 cards Chief: Hanger Deck, 6 cards Board Status Galactica: 5/6, Weapons Control Offline Colonial One: Rocking Civilian Ships: 12/12, 0 in play Raptors: 3/4 Vipers: 8/8 (0 in play, 7 in reserves, 1 damaged, 0 destroyed) Resource Dials: Fuel, Food, Morale, Population: 6, 7, 7, 5 Jump Prep: [start] [X] [X] [-3] [-1] [auto] Boarding Party: nonexistent Distance: 6 Ship locations Bow of Galactica: Clear Port-Bow: Clear Port-Aft: Clear Aft: Clear Starboard-Aft: Clear Starboard-Bow: Clear Since there's a "chance" that someone may reveal as a cylon this turn, let's go back over those steps. 1. Reveal as Cylon, if not in the Brig perform actions detailed there. 2. Discard down to 3 Skill Cards. Note that character abilities don't apply, like Apollo's random discard. 3. Lose Titles, per succession lists. 4. Resurrect, which means you're moved to the Resurrection Ship Cylon Location 5. Receive Super Crisis even if player was in the Brig. End turn. Apollo, what would you like for your split draw? |
