Oh I am SURE I am going to regret this, but... I want to claim The Immortal.
Playing a fun, friendly game that wants everyone to have FUN FUN FUN was a nice vacation. But we can't have a thing like that being habit, now can we? |

I know my Fire Emblem Sacred Stones LP is now considered abandoned, but I still intend to finish it. I've been working on it recently. I just don't want to start posting again until I'm sure I'll have enough time to update regularly. Is there any way I make sure it isn't adopted by someone else?

Yeah, by updating.

SNAPS AND DANG
If you really want, I could keep it from being claimed in the meantime; I've done the same with Super Metroid Redesign and Final Fantasy III, so it wouldn't be fair otherwise. However! I can only guarantee it until May (when the yearly review comes along), at which point all bets are off. Sounds good? |

Yeah, that's great. I hope to get back to posting in a month or so, but I just now realized how long it had been since I updated so i got nervous.

Since my FFXI LP is going rather smoothly I guess I'll lay claim to a something FFXIV one. More or less a run through a half-assed game from what I'm hearing out of others; I don't even know if there's much or any story at the moment. I guess I'll get back to you after a few days of playing for a time slot or something.

Wow, the end of January sure snuck up on me. I'm not going to be able to fit in a Ganbare Goemon 3 LP next month with STTB2 still being worked on and Skyrim to play and lots of other stuff on my plate IRL, could it be bumped to March?

I'll be starting up a Group LP of Betrayal at House on the Hill shortly. You can call it January or February.

I feed on the praise of others as an escape mechanism for my crippling sense of self-worth. What can I say?
I hope that's not, like, awkward or anything also, I feel certain games are undervalued and think that others can be brought to appreciate them through vicarious experience |

I guess I'm gonna' take over Nodal's abandoned Illusion of Gaia LP, if there's no problem with that. Messaged him a week ago about it, but no response.
EDIT: I can just start a new thread, right? Would be preferable for format reasons. Last edited by Elements; 02-07-2012 at 01:01 PM. |

Put me down for March to start The Immortal. I've gotten the first update written, but I am thinking I need a lot of buffer on this one before I get around to posting.
Lest I go stark-raving mad. |

Okay I was just going to motor right through to Stalker Clear Sky but I guess I might as well reserve a slot for it since there is one open. For February.

I had decided I wasn't going to do it, but heck, now that I've finished Wonder Boy in Monster Land I'm gonna claim Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap. Is May too far away to book a slot in?
Anyone else who desperately wanted it can take solace in the continued availability of Wonder Boy III: Monster Lair. I bet there's lots to be said about that game. |

Well, I may as well put in a claim for Final Fantasy XII. I won't be starting it right away, but there seems to be at least some interest, and I seem to have started gathering info for such an LP inadvertently anyway, so why not?

I am already ready to love this LP. Secret best FF.

Sky Render: Are you decided on playing the vanilla version, or is the Zodiac Job System an option? I'd really love to see the latter. |

I've located a working torrent for him. We'll see.

I will be taking a silent poll on it, actually, since I do now have access to the IZJS version. If you're interested in seeing me LP that version instead of the original one, send me a PM over the forum system. If enough people PM me asking me to LP the IZJS version, that's the one I'll be doing. But if it's just 3 or 4 people, I'll be doing the original version.
To help people who may be on the fence or not know anything about it, the International Zodiac Job System version of FF12 implements 12 completely new License Boards corresponding to the 12 Zodiac signs, each one representing a class. The downside to this is that you cannot make any one character truly "uber" (you must pick one and only one job per character, much like FF1). The upside is that it makes the game far more like FF1 and its cousins, ie. you don't just have 6 carbon copy characters by the end of the game unless you select the same job for all of them. So yeah, PM me and put in your vote if you want me to LP FF12 IZJS. If you'd rather I LP the original version, you don't have to do a thing; I will take silence to be a vote in the original version's favor. |

Just FYI, my Mansions of Madness group LP is completed. Fun times were had.
Now on to a more serious topic: PUPPIES! If I wanted to start a group LP of Arkham Horror, would I have to take over the in-hiatus one or wait for it to be officially abandoned? |
#114
|

You would have to take it over so I can continue playing! Even though I don't think things were looking very good.

So given that there are 785 Active Members of Talking Time, you'd have to have 393 votes for IZJS for it to win?

Not at all! And anyway, I estimate that around 30 to 100 people read my LPs out of both active members and lurkers alike. I'm just polling to see how much active interest there is in it. It's a lot of trouble to go to if only a very few people even care about it, particularly since IZJS has some serious limitations that would force me to completely change my playing style based on the whims of the peanut gallery.

...Huh. It actually gets moved to the abandoned list today - the last time SladeForrester posted in that thread was exactly six months ago. So: do you want to continue where the game left off or start over? Either way works for me, really.

I hate doing this, especially after writing an update and giving myself a start date, but I'm going to have to drop The Immortal.
That game is entirely too inscrutable and frustrating for me. |
