Well, apparently Let's Playing a game about hexagons and stuff has compelled me to do a longer Let's Play of a game (or two?) I also like. In this case, I was going to give Torchlight (and hopefully its sequel) some exposure!

Question: Does this thread have too much history? Does anyone find it confusing? Would it be better to unstick this thread and open a new one, posting the rules and index and then lock it? Claims could just be through PMs to me?

Since someone already has to PM you, it might be easier/less cluttered to create a new thread and get rid of the "post in the claims thread and PM falselogic" rule. Though, I think there's some merit in a general "chat" thread in the LP forum, so people can gauge interest in potential LPs or bring up any new exciting developments. Separating that from the rules/index is something I'd like though.

I would recommend splitting it into a Rules Thread and a Claims Thread. That way the rules can be set and locked where only Mods can touch them and have no replies or anything cluttering it up, and the Claims can work the same as they do now. ^_^

I really don't think this subforum needs any more stickied threads, so I'm not in favour of splitting this one. Is it really so hard to click the first page when you wanna look at the rules and the last page when you wanna catch up on discussion/see what's been claimed?

I think the thread is fine as it is. The title itself indicates that one should check the OP, and it's not as if this is the Sandcastle Thread at Something Awful, with hundreds and hundreds of pages of discussion.

Having just finished Gargoyle's Quest and with Rolan's Curse 2 winding down, I'm thinking I might do a Final Fantasy Legend 1 LP as my next go-round. (Though I'd also been vaguely considering Great Greed.) Any thoughts/preferences?

I'm thinking I'll keep this thread open as a discussion one (with a title rename) and then move the rules and list to a new locked thread.

Claiming can still happen here, to spur discussion.

I'm also going to add the rule that when a LPer finishes their LP they need to send the mod another PM. I try to keep up with all the LPs in the forum but that can get tricky.
