I more interested in DQIV than FFII so that's the one I'm voting for.

I vote for FF2/4, but only if you point out every single instance where the translation makes no goddamn sense or the system hackery/bugs/whatever screw with the gameplay.

But then he'll never finish the LP. It'll be like writing War and Peace with screencaps.

If you mean the Japanese Final Fantasy III, it's already running. If you mean the U.S. FFIII, it's already slated for a January start.

DW IV. I've seen FFII broken more than a cheap whore's will to keep going.

dragon quest 4 is my favorite game in one of my favorite franchises. give it love, brick. but FF2 is also my favorite game in that franchise! I'm so torn!

I want a hybrid FF2/FFIV Advance/FFIV DS Let's Play.

Actually, I've settled. I pick FFII. Why? Because I haven't touched that version since FF Chronicles, and I'd kinda like to revisit it.

Seriously though, might as well vote for Final Fantasy IV, under the presumption that you're playing the Engrishy SNES version which swiped the Roman numeral of that awful Monster in my Closet game.

In short, Vote = Final Fantasy II SNES. Seriously though, no cons? FF2SNES has missing crap and DW4NES has uncontrollable formerly controllable party members in Chapter 5.

I vote DWIV. That'll give me more to see that I didn't know already.

I vote DWIV just because I think Brick has kind of run this whole Final Fantasy thing into the ground at this point. Besides, if he can break FFI this badly then I can only imagine what he can do with that mess that is FFII USA Easytype.

I'd go with DWIV, but only if you play shop with Taloon long enough to go through his entire chapter equipped with a Sword of Malice, and make sure you pick up a spare for the hero, etc.

Plus you KNOW we're gonna make you take on Necrosaro with Doran, Brey, Nara and Taloon, right?

No, we need Cristo in there somewhere if he ends up with DWIV, wasting all those turns he could use on healing trying and failing to insta-kill Necrosaro.

Yeah, I can't not vote for FF'II'. So I am.

Also, I want to see what I don't know about it. And what terrible things Brick can do to an FF installment that, honestly, doesn't have all that many choices in it.

II was the first and last game to successfully* pull off the "Villain is actually your twin brother from the moon and now you must kung-fu fight a giant space flea from nowhere" twist.

Is that official/manual/Japanese strategy guide artwork? Because it's the best possible art style for Final Fantasy and I want every game to be remade to look like that.

Especially the upcoming Versus.

I'd think the fact that Woolsey always turned out excellent localizations (no matter what you thought of his occasional liberties), whereas FFIV's SNES script is an Engrishy mess, would immediately tip one off.

FFII. With none of that "I know in advance X is going to leave my party so I unequip them now" nonsense.

FF4 USA - So easy, a caveman could do it. And that's about how long it has been since I played FF4.

Dragon Quest IV is the correct choice. There's something inspirational in the way it manages to overcome the handicap of being a DQ game.

The stat distribution of 4d4 vs 1d256 is very, very different.

instead of the normal bell curve, you have a much flatter curve with humps at 32, 96, 160, and 224.
