FFX, and that too is only true early on.

when glancing at Kirin's avatar, I just saw the negative space and thought it was some smoke or hot breath or such coming from its mouth... And just sort of assumed I didn't remember it from when I played the game... ...sigh...

Until I played other FF's, I always thought Carbuncle was a seahorse in FF6.

That's because the Catoblepas, whose eyesight can instantly kill a man, was cursed by God to have horns so heavy he must drag his head along the ground, facing downwards for all time.

(Not that I have anything against Ranma 1/2, other than the inevitable anime filler arcs. But Urusei Yatsura was better.)

Well, it's your fault for living on a diet of rice and pickled vegetables. And for ruling your people from high atop a giant pagoda in the mountains of China.

Every time I come back I hope Brick has updated, and yet every time it's more of you bastards arguing about ugly concept art.

Or it's someone commenting on how people are talking about things other than the LP.
Like this.

Well imagine how poor ol' Mr. Brickroad must feel every time the thread updates, and he opens it thinking the LP resumed without his knowledge!

...and then getting really confused.

Kirin for party regen
I think the elemental ones are better than -ara spells for weaknesses.
Golem for defense.
Shoat for most world of balance bosses.
Phoenix for "oh shit"
There are definitely a couple points throughout the game where Golem can be really useful.

Golem is handy in FFVI, where he casts Shell and Protect on you.

Golem is indispensible in FFV where he stops all physical damage on you.

I'm pretty sure he blocks physical damage in VI as well.

In any case, blocking all physical damage in VI is a heck of a lot less useful then it is in V

Yeah, really. There's a 90% chance any walkthrough will list Golem as the optimal boss strategy for the entire second half of the game. The only thing that really competes in brokenness is Blue Mage, assuming you spend double the normal game length farming for spells.

So how about that killing an enemy and the rest of your party flailing at the empty air, guys?

It's a great motive to practice mental addition. Roughly memorize the hp totals for the local monsters and compare vs the typical damage of your fighter and divide for the less damaging members of your party.
Which is a fancy way of saying I like teaming up the strongest with the weakest. (BM+F, RM+WM)
It makes a sort of in-battle minigame that keeps one paying attention during both the more dangerous and less dangerous foes.
It would be awful if they hadn't changed it before adding the donus dungeons though.

Don't worry Brickroad, I got this next update covered:

Hey guys, Percy here! Me and my friends had an amazing adventure recently, and I wanted to share it with you!

Here's a recent picture of us! I'm on the right, wearing green. It might be hard to see me, because I'm a ninja and I was showing off my special ninja hiding skills in that picture. The guy in the back shooting fire out of his hands is Ika, and the guy beside him is BlBelt. He hits things. We didn't have time to take Zach to the Church for revival before our photography appointment, so we just had to prop him up and hope for the best. Unfortunately, his legs fell off right before the cameraman snapped the photo. :/
That happens a lot with him. :/

Anyway, today we went to Whisperwind Cove. It was really neat, because we had to take a canoe all the way there, and then walk down all forty floors! Wow!

There were all sorts of cool things inside though! There was a floating continent! Zach nearly fell off the edge because he was standing in front of the party like always and I tripped and dropped a few potions and accidentally bumped into him. Oops! It turns out stitches don't hold that well when you're hanging off an island floating in the sky, and his legs fell down to the land below. Boy, was going down to find them an unexpected detour!

We also found a bunch of beavers, and I counted all them! One was kind of mean, and another acted like he had been hitting the Loco Weed, if you know what I'm saying!

A couple of the floors had lava on them. It wasn't a big deal though! I was looking for a potion to top off my HP before crossing, but then I spilled all my items and as I was picking them up, I saw that Zach had volunteered to act as a bridge to help us cross safely to the other side. Thanks Zach!

There was even a faerie village, but we couldn't get close enough to talk to them because every time we did, they'd use some kind of weird magic that caused heart-shaped rocks to surround then until they could teleport away. I've never heard of a spell like that. It must be some kind of level 8 White Magic or something.
Stupid jerks, I didn't want to talk to them anyway. >

Then Final Fantasy 6 happened. I don't understand how it can be Final Fantasy 6 though...

Still, it was a lot of fun and I can't wait to go back! BlBelt, Ika and Zach's corpse rolled their eyes when I said that to them, I don't know why.

See? If you ignore your LP thread long enough, rad stuff happens.

But anyway I'll see about updating in the next couple days. There is a really hilarious boss fight you guys are just gonna LOVE!

One person resolves their attack entirely, things happen, then someone else goes. You're ostensibly commanding seasoned warriors, or at least human beings that can differentiate a goblin from a volume of air. Wasting turns should not be an issue.

Two years and two months, if we're talking about Drod. Unless you nterlanders use some weird kangaroo calendar.
