Nice job on the LP, Lucas and Sky Render. Very enjoyable! Sky Render, thanks for the Where Are They Now? segment! It's always interesting to see the connections between various teams over the years.

I just finished playing through Final Fantasy 6 with my boyfriend this week (part of my attempt to teach him some proper SNES culture) and this playthrough has been an invaluable tool in helping me remember all the little secrets and tricks I had let myself forget over the years.

Thanks so much! It was awesome.

Seriously a great read. I wish more LPs did this - that is, play through the official release, and then a fan translation just to note the differences. Hell, even an official retranslation would suffice for me, if only to see the difference.

Good show, you two!

I just finished the last update, and I wanted to chime in and say kudos on a very enjoyable LP. Obviously the game was great, but so was the concept, comparing the two translations. Nice work!

Little late to the ending party, but...

Hell, Earth, and Heaven? Huh, I always thought the three tiers were based off the statues, Poltergiest, Goddess, and Doom. Was there ever any official data about that?

Nope. Mostly that's just speculation from the fanbase based on the combination of visuals and music.

That could also be the case. Either way, SYMBOLISM!

Uematsu played keyboard with The Black Mages, not guitar.

Ah, really? Guess that's what I get for using Google and Wikipedia to check my facts. I'll fix that, then...

And of course, it's time to take on this bad boy.

Master Tonberry doesn't have a star over his head like his FF7 counterpart, but he can still hit fairly hard.
It took this to make me realize the star is a job system reference.

Great LP, by the way.
