Here's mah elf. FF1 Advance battle sprites are here, and I'm sure everyone else can find other 24x24-ish sprites they'd like to use on that site as well. |

For what ever worth my opinion holds I think that the dwarf should be a ninja.

You guys are cute. Complain about my icons, will you?
I was this close to making all of you Krile. Roku, in a bundle of rags, you find a small bottle of bluish liquid. You can drink this healing potion at any time, restoring the number of Body Points equal to a roll of one red die. You cannot, however, exceed your starting number of Body Points. This may only be used once. GUTS is up again. |

That image pretty much looks like he's backwashing the entire contents of his mouth.
Which is to say, fantastic. |

The orignal idea was to make it look like he was making gulps using the casting animation, ut I am both lazy and tired right now so maybe next time.

The one I had was more Vivi, but as long as it stands out then it's all good.
Also, YAY Healing Potion! |

Rolled a seven. I'm going to reverse direction, throw caution to the wind, and open the door at H19. Don't go in though, I'm going to save that last movement for later.

You complete fool! You have unleashed the fury of the orcs! Zargon has no need for red movement dice; his superior orc infantry will march tirelessly at a rate of 8 squares per turn. The UK edition of HeroQuest didn't give Body Points to the monsters. Everything in the entire game died in a single hit. Needless to say, the UK version of the game is really, really easy as a result. These orcs still only have one Body Point, but you'll be fighting much tougher monsters later. If you are not content with the machete-wielding orc in the illustration, despair not! You have the option of three different weapons in your orc miniatures, none of which is a machete. Here is someone's painted version of these minis. Occupying the west half of this room, you see a large table covered in papers, beakers, and scorch marks. The north wall is covered by a large bookcase. Probably good reading if you knew how to read Human. |

Did they compensate with high defense/waves of enemies or just make it that easy...

It really doesn't matter what their defense rating is if the Wizard has an 88% chance of killing the boss as soon as he enters LOS.
As mentioned earlier, most of the quests rely on environmental hazards for their difficulty. This particular quest doesn't even exist in the UK edition; instead, they have an introductory quest that puts a hero on each corner of the map and has them race to the center. It's pretty incongruous with the rest of the game. |

You have been queued.
I'm still not sure whether you mean Dragon Quest. |

Ha that was exactly my reaction.
"Must be Dragon Quest." Look at colors. "Maybe not?" Read post again. "Er... must be Dragon Quest... I guess." |

Never played Dragon quest so I wouldn't know.

So with my movement of six, I will...move to G18 and search for treasure. (I'd do something about them orcs, but I don't want to waste a spell on such trivia.)

Dragon Quest was my first reaction: They look like the colorset use in the Game Boy Color remakes of the first three games. (Or the colorset used for the GBC in general.)

The colors I chose just so happen to be colors I have used in previous projects. (Except for the dwarf who I just wanted to use brown).

Besides, with two Orcs in the room, you're too busy to search for gold. |

Did the Dwarf take his last move into the room? And do I have Line of Sight through open doors and friendly characters?

Dragon Quest, yes. The colors are very reminiscent of the colors used by DQ's overworld sprites back in the series' NES days.
In particular the barbarian reminds me of the Princess of Moonbrooke (or Ragnar, I guess); the dwarf of Alena; the elf of Loto's decedent; and the wizard of a fighter from III. EDIT: Was going to throw up an example but... well, don't google "Princess Moonbrooke" with safe search off. Just don't. |

I didn't, but I'm pretty short. You can probably see over me.
