Gadzooks! It's a veritable monster party behind this door. The dead are walking, and they don't look pleased.



You see two zombies. These are essentially skeletons with one extra point of defense and one less point of movement. Here, have some colorful zombies.



Somewhat more distressing is the mummy in the middle. With just as much attack and health as a fimir but one more point of defense, this is the toughest monster you've faced. These ones look pretty nice.

I'd suggest running, but I know who I'm talking to here.

Guts! It's up to you!

Running isn't an option; they'd catch up to Dwarf-friend too easily what with dwarf's stubby legs.

Guts brazenly charges into the room at F3 and swings at the undead monstrosity.

Unfortunately, GUTS apparently has Mummy issues.

I figured Guts would have the situation wrapped up.

Well he's not about to desert his friends.

He seems to be cursed today. It should be all right, though; after all, it's not like he's the braaaaains of the operation.

Obvious pun is obvious.

Pshh Guts the brains.

Eddie you dope we should be taking out the zombies first so they don't overwhelm us. I move to F-4 and use my axe on the zombie.

It's no good though. It's never good. I hope some mages can get us out of this jam.

When all else fails use fire.

I'd like to sign up for a future run. Probably Elf.

Speaking of elves, it's Sylvis's turn.



I turned Guts to face the monsters. It's these little touches that show how much I love you all.

Are you guys investigating any of that furniture? You know it can have loot in it, right?

That's what I've been saying! But no, these guys are afraid that they're just cardboard props with monsters hiding inside.

No way! You guys are missing all sorts of loot! It's like none of you have never crawled through a dungeon before!

1. Search room if possible.
2. Cast Genie at the mummy if possible (will roll for it on approval).
3. If not, uhh. We'll see.

Wh-wh-don't listen to the peanut gallery! We can search for treasure LATER.

Also, I don't think you can search AND cast a spell/attack so you'd have to choose one of the other. Why not JOIN US IN THE FRONT LINES IN GLORIOUS COMBAT?

With those noodly elf arms?

1. You can do that, but you might generate another monster.
2. You've already cast Genie.
3. You have Swift Wind (useless right now) and Tempest (useful). You can also join them in combat as suggested above. If you don't advance and you don't Tempest someone, then Guts will get double-teamed. (He can take it.)

Right. Tempesting the Mummy and sitting pretty.

Sliding one space to E-3, Roku casts Rock Skin on Guts, granting him an extra die when defending, and somehow improving his looks... how odd. Still, it will increase his chances of survival, and lasts for as long as he doesn't take any combat damage.

The zombie on top moves left to flank Guts, but Guts is rock solid. The other zombie isn't any luckier against our vertically-challenged friend.

The mummy is busy collecting his wrappings and will be back in action after a brief word from our sponsors.

Hmm... Well I tried. Also you ever noticed Disclaimers are like 8 times longer than the ad itself?

Drat mummies and their drat good defense.
