Default Not our Waistcoat!

It was so stylish and useful! I hate the ocean, and I miss Dirty Dancing, he never betrayed us the way the Green Sceptre did, the ocean is lame... kick it quickly to the shore! screw fisherman, I;ve had enough of the salty blue...

Swim Lone Wolf! Swim like a criminal escaping Alcatraz! Sim like that one chick from JAWS, except don't get eaten by a shark! Swim like a ok, I'm done.

Lone Wolf has borne the pain of a fallen comrade for the final time! From here on out, he goes it alone!

Swim it.

Steal the fisherman's boat. Don't hitch a ride; steal it. I don't care if that's not an option. Write it in the margins.

You can only edit the title once, and once alone. So when Book 2 is finished, we'd be in the same boat. The power of Editing a Title is not one to be trifled.

Doesn't Loki already have the power to edit his own titles, dating back to the early Supper Squid days?

You can edit more than once. Seash.

I can only edit threads in the Talking About Everything forum, or where ever the Super Squad topic is. I PMed Parish about changing this topic's title but I never heard back from him.

If you do edit the title, it'd probably be best to change it to a general Lone Wolf title.

Also, fisherman.

Waving a waterlogged cloak over your head while half submerged and hanging onto a piece of driftwood seems like it would be an awful lot of work. Besides, this is the cloak of a stealthy Kai Lord. It's not going to be adorned with reflective tape and safety symbols; it's going to be as black as a shark's eyes.

Sharks!? Where? Here? Quick, start paddling!

The Surprise thought they had encountered native fisherman, perhaps. What did it get them? Raked by 18-pounders, that's what! Avoid raking - swim for the shore, for life, for freedom!

Also: Lone Wolf, not Friend-to-Fishermen Wolf.

If you like shanties, I strongly suggest picking up some albums from a guy named Johnny Collins. Has a great voice, and has done a nice variety of songs.

I was starting to think no one would get it.. and that made me sad. =(

Man, it sure took a long time to paddle to shore. It feels like I've been paddling all weekend!

Quote:
337. When you are only fifty yards offshore, you slip into the waves and swim towards land. When you finally reach the beach, you sink your fingers deep into the wet sand and slowly claw your way up the beach to the shelter of some dunes. You are exhausted and very hungry. The only possessions that you have saved are your Gold Crowns, your Backpack and any Special Items that you did not discard in the storm. Any weapons that you possessed before the storm have been lost. Make the necessary adjustment to your Action Chart.
Fuck! Well this sucks. There goes everything. I bet the fisherman wouldn't have taken all my stuff like cruel Poseidon did. At least the shield is considered a special item so I get to keep it, along with the crystal star necklace and my 34 gold.

Quote:
However, a few hundred yards away, you notice clumps of small twisted trees laden with purple fruit.

If you have the Kai Discipline of Hunting, turn to 139.

If you wish to eat this fruit, turn to 228.

If you do not wish to eat this fruit, lose 3 ENDURANCE points and turn to 171.
Hunting! Maybe you guys made a good choice for once. Let's take a good long look at this fruit. Hmmmmm....

Quote:
139. The training that you received in the art of Hunting has taught you to recognize most of the poisonous and non-poisonous fruits to be found in northern Magnamund. These purple fruits are Larnuma, a sweet and nutritious food. You quickly eat your fill and then store enough of them in your Backpack for 2 Meals.

Beyond the Larnuma trees, you notice a wide coast road that disappears towards the east and the west.

If you wish to head east, turn to 27.

If you wish to head west, turn to 114.
Not really a good replacement for all the crap I lost. I guess it will have to do. C'mon, fruit, let's go east.

Quote:
27. You walk for over three hours along the lonely coast road before night begins to fall. You are very tired and you decide to get some sleep and continue at dawn. You remember the tales told by your Kai masters of the Wildlands between Sommerlund and Durenor, where packs of wild dogs roam the wastelands at night.

With these stories in mind, you decide to spend the night in the safety of a large leafy tree at the edge of the road.

Your rest is very refreshing. Restore 2 ENDURANCE points (if any have been lost on your adventure so far), and turn to 312.
I don't see how sleeping in a tree can be very refreshing but the book knows more than me so on we go.

Quote:
312. Although you awake to a cold and rain-swept dawn, the branches of the tree and your Kai cloak have kept you warm and dry during the night. Looking along the coast road, in the distance you can see a wagon heading towards you.

If you wish to get down from the tree and flag it down, turn to 117.

If you wish to try to jump onto it as it passes beneath your branch, turn to 89.
Interesting choice, Talking Time. SHOULD I LEAP HEROICALLY OR FLAG IT DOWN HOMOSEXUALLY?

Rather than waste 2 backpack spaces on all that fruit, I suggest the utilization of a FRUIT BANDOLIER.
