Remind me of a rule thing I think I am remembering correctly.
If I fail an evade check, I take Stamina damage, and can evade again, unless they have that "can't run away" keyword, but I won't have to make a horror check until I decide to attack them. Correct? No? The answer to this question basically determines whether I consult DARK FORCES on all this, or just throw caution to the wind and try to run. |

If you fail an evade, you take Stamina damage and then combat begins.
I'm currently weighing my options and I may stop by Rivertown streets to take care of those monsters for you. Mark can't get arrested if he stops in the streets but he may die from these monsters. Hmmmm |

If you do come help me, I will gladly toss you this Holy Water to help you deal with that Flying Polyp, as it's pretty useless to my sword-wielding self now.

Focus: 2
Change my Speed/Sneak to 3/2 and my Lore/Luck to 4/1 Patrice smells a clue several blocks away in the Science Building. There's only one place she needs to be. |

Ok, Mark's charging to the rescue!
Upkeep:
Mark's moving into the Rivertown streets to give Minh a fighting chance. Mark vs the Flying Polyp
Mark vs the Star Spawn
And that's my turn. Mark is now left with 1 SAN and 1 STA. |

I'd give you a dollar to heal yourself, but you can't trade money because this game is STUPID.
Do you want the Holy Water? Again, completely useless to me, and you don't have any magical weapons. Either way, I'm now going to run to the Asylum and spend 2 bucks to Re-sane myself. |

If you don't want it I'll totally take it.

I didn't realize we had buffed cultists. Can I bump my Fight up one?

To 2/3? I've got no problem with that.

I could reach Independence Square if I adjust my speed/sneak, and I think I have the power to take on both monsters there. With 6 clues I'm in good shape to close that gate once I've been through, and I have a Find Gate spell to speed things up. What do you guys think?

Jim whips out his trusty shotgun. "Get off my turf!"
3, 1, 2, 6 1, 2, 3, 2 2, 2, 2, 4 2, 2, 6, 3 ... . . . Jim is knocked around a bit. Last edited by Mogri; 03-30-2012 at 04:32 PM. |

Wait, hold on, I'm a bit confused. You had a fight of 2 and the Cultist's CR brought it down to 0, and then you had the shotgun that gives you +4. So you should be rolling 4 dice per cultist. The cultist's also one hit for 1 STA, so you would have had to fail 4 times to be knocked unconscious.

So Jim is still somewhat alive, then. |

So you used 2 Clue tokens and you lost 2 Stamina, correct?
|
#377
|

|

No, I just lost two stamina is all. Four dice per attack, right?
|
#378
|
|||

Yeah, you're right, I forgot what clue tokens do. I thought you had to use clues to reroll.

Could you use a gate trophy to become uncursed?
Sarc: going to the gate would be super. |

I forgot to remove both from your wiki so I thought you still had 1 gate trophy.

OK, consider my speed ticked over to 4, and me moving to the Independence Square space. I'll crunch the numbers on evasion/combat in a while.

Upkeep: None
Spend 2 Movement Points to activate the Book of Dyzan again. Lore(-1) check is 3 dice. Rolls are 4,4,5! I lose 1 Sanity, Sarcasmorator and I both draw one spell, and then the Book of Dyzan is discarded. I'll then just sit here again and heal up 1 Sanity. Also, I bought a Holy Water 2 turns ago sraymonds, but its not up on the wiki. I should have $2 left as well. |

OK, I'll take on the High Priest first.
My Horror check is 3(+1) — a pass with 4, 2, 2, 5. I'll attack him with my saber for 2(+2)(-2), with a result of 1, 5. I need one more hit to put him down, and I have lots of clues, so: 6. Scratch one high priest. Now the Shambler! Horror check is 3(-2) — and a 5 passes. The combat check is the same, with result of: 2, 2. If I don't burn another clue token I'll be lost in time and space, so I think it's worth it: 4. Crap. Try one more: 6. Boom. Down three clues, up two monster trophies, no damage. Booyah. |
