Well alright, Roland now moves to the woods problem-free.

Time to crack some skulls. Zombie goes first.
Horror Check: Will = 2 - 1 (zombie is scary) = 1: Roland rolls a 6. Combat check: Fight = 4 -1 (zombie is strong) + 1 (bullwhip) + 1 (Thomas Malone is egging him on I guess) = 5: 6,1,2,1,3. Roland hits the zombie pretty hard once, then flails 4 more times as it falls over. Zombie is dead. Now on to the ghoul. Horror Check: Will = 2: 4,6. Roland is not impressed. Combat Check: 4 -1 (ghoul is strong) + 1 (bullwhip) + 1 (Thomas Malone called Roland a chicken. Nobody. Calls him. Chicken.) = 5: 1,1,1,5,2. Yikes, way to do almost the literal bare minimum to pass that check, Roland. The Ghoul is just barely dead. Up ahead, Roland spots a gate to another dimension. |

Also, Minh now gets +1 to combat because of our relationship card.

Upkeep. $2. CHA-CHING! Roll for Retainer: Um, well, I guess I didn't need all that money anyway.
Adjust my Fight/Will to 4/1. I'm moving to shoot the Dimensional Shambler using gunz. So okay, here's what I do. I fail the horror check. I lose a sanity, bringing me to four. I equip my pistol, +2, and I have my Fight, +5, and my relationship, +1. That's six die after the -2 for combat with the Shambler. Surely I can get one success on six die. Two successes. I murdered a guy yay! How's that for a turn? It is... something...! |

To help speed things along, I'll declare actions for Ursula sometime after lunch today. Anyone have any suggestions? I was thinking of taking out the Dhole suing the Power.
If Ursula can pass the horror check. |

It's cool.
I was typing up the action when I saw you posted. Speed/Sneak went to 2/3 and then I rolled an evade check. You can keep what I just did and move her to a location or you can start your turn however you like. |

I've got a Find Gate spell, so me getting into a gate seems like a good move. The monsters at the Woods should be easy enough to dispatch if I can evade this Dhole. I have 1 die to roll — Sneak 2(-1).
4. Drat. Burn a clue. 6. So long, Dhole! I head to the Woods and deal with the monsters! Ghoul first, cuz they're powerful weak. Horror check 1(+0): 2. I take a hit to Sanity. Combat check: 4(+2)(-1) with Cavalry Saber: 2, 6, 4, 2, 5. That Ghoul is double dead. I'll go ahead and fight the Zombie to thin out the monster numbers, even though it means an automatic Horror Check failure and a sanity loss. I think I have 2 left now. Combat check 4(+2)(-1): 6, 6, 3, 3, 5. I hack that Zombie to pieces. Also, did I really kill the Witch? I don't remember doing that, but I have the trophy. Well, shit. I'm all mixed up.
Give me a few minutes and I'll redo my post-Dhole-escape turn. I'm super poor. I'll head to the Administration space and see if I draw an encounter that'll give me some money. |

Why do I even got these stats, anyway? I'll discard Flesh Ward and the trumpet. (Spells is items, right?) |

Hey, sraymonds, I realized that what Sarcasmorator's character gained the Spell Find Gate, I should have also gained a spell due to our Relationship Card.

I think dusssstin is away at a conference in New York or something, but luckily his encounter isn't something he can do and there's no negative penalties attached.
I'll draw a new Mythos card and hopefully update the map tonight. |

The gate Akachi closed and sealed had the Star symbol but no monsters share it. And unless Mogri comes up with a lucky gate draw, he's going to end up lost in time and space.
Mythos - Sunny and Clear (Enviroment) Sneak checks in Arkham are made at a -1 penalty. Will checks in Arkham are made at a +1 bonus. Clue : Hibbs Roadhouse Monster Movement:
Gate - Split Gate leading to either Another Dimension or Yuggoth (-3) opens at the Black Caves
Reckoning- Further Temptation: Each investigator with a Dark Pact draws 1 Spell.

I'm thinking about murdering the Elder Thing, provided I still have the relationship bonus (I have one trophy and he has 2, right?)

Ok, Upkeep, move Speed/Sneak to 2/2. Put me at the Curiositie Shoppe, and lets go shopping. With my 2 movement points, I'm going to activate my Book of Dyzan to see if I can get Sarcasmorator and I some more spells.
4 Lore -1 for Book of Dyzan check = 3 rolls. Rolls are 2,6,5 Success! I lose 1 Sanity and gain a spell, and Sarcasmorator also gains a spell from our relationship card. |

Combat time! Put on some combat muzak.
No upkeep, move to the Elder Thing, fail the sanity check, down to 2 Sanity. WHO NEEDS SANITY, I SAY? Okay, so +5 Fight, +1 for relationship, +2 for my pistol, and Elder Thing is -0, so that's 8 dice for two successes. THIS BETTER WORK. Three Successes! I'll take it. Minh may be taking a trip to the Asylum next turn, though. (Also, don't I have 3 dollars? I had 1, and the retainer gave me $2 before giving up the ghost.) |

Fixed Minh's money thang.
