Part XI - Through Hell and High Water

Last time the party sought out (and found) a way to reach Galuf's world. Now that they're there, they've been kidnapped, rescued, and reunited with their extraterrestrial buddy at last. Their goal now is just to get the hell out of Exdeath's castle.

Everyone was celebrating the return of Galuf, and put back on costumes. "Ninja forever!" Bartz yelled as he performed parkour off the walls of the dungeon. Even Faris had to grudgingly admit that Bartz was getting better at being a Ninja. Which was bad for the contents of the party's pockets since Bartz put on his !Steal and resumed practicing on them.

"Okay, back to punching things until they stop moving," Lenna said confidently as she smacked her bare fists together and eyed Bartz as a possible pratice dummy. "Come on, please? I'll heal you right after I'm done pummeling you, I have my !White on and everything." Lenna's reassurances fell on deaf ears however as Bartz performed a wall-jump right into the ceiling to get away from her.

Galuf admired his Samurai katana as he donned his fancy helmet. "Forgot I had this outfit," he said cheerfully as he practiced his slashes. He briefly pondered speaking in broken Japanese for a while, but decided against it. He did not decide against having !Blue, however. Galuf may have bad taste in fashion, but he's not an idiot.

"Earmuffs be damned," Faris declared, "I'll hear even less complaining if I spend most fights up in the air." And with that, she put on a flaming-red Dragoon outfit and grabbed a Trident. Ever a fan of causing mass devestation, Faris also stuck on her !Summon command for extra cruelty.

(Today's update is in Red Wine... er, Red. It'll make sense soon enough.)

Bartz is serious about being a Ninja, so naturally he wants to work on his "don't be seen" skills.

The rest of the party plays along, mostly because they're sick of this place and just want to get out of here without any more battles.

Actually Krile is the telepath, at least when it comes to critters. And I am suddenly reminded why I hate that Mary Sue brat.

Lenna: White Mage at least to the next job level, since she's so close.
Galuf: Ditto but for Red Mage.

My goals for first class mastery are:
Bartz: Ninja
Lenna: Monk
Galuf: Blue Mage
Faris: Beastmaster

But it's nice to mix things up too. Soon as Galuf dies, Bartz, Lenna, and Faris should all become Dancers.

Since Galuf already has Zeninage, I officially don't care exactly what his Job is as long as he can throw money at everything he sees and eventually passes that skill down to Krile so she can do it too.

How about we go with...

Bartz - Ninja (both)
Lenna - Geomancer (both)
Galuf - Monk (training), Berserker (final)
Faris - Dragoon (both)

Just to note, it wouldn't be much fun to run around with half (or all) the party in mastered Jobs. Certainly it'd be bad for ABP gains, which are bigger than you'd think for traversing dungeons and the like. I can't force it, but I'd suggest you not vote to put characters into Jobs they're going to master during the grind session.
