No. But I think you're going to lose the civil suit and have to provide compensation for the pain and suffering that Brickroad went through.

The Boatmurdered LP of Dwarf Fortress is great, but few things can top the endgame of Headshoots.

Once you get to the spiral of madness in Boatmurdered, you've really read all that is great. Of course, this coming from a dude who has yet to finish it... I lost interest. But ill take a glance at Headshoots now! I need more insanity in my life!

Here's an LP that's been around for a while, but I really enjoy watching it: Phoenix Online's The Silver Lining (download for free here!) by Toegoff.
It's the fanmade "conclusion" of Sierra's King's Quest series of adventure games. It has five parts; so far, only four have been released. I would have liked to have waited until the whole series was concluded, but who knows when that's going to be. Don't be put off by the brevity of the first episode. The puzzles (and storyline) increase in length, depth and difficulty as the series progresses. The Phoenix team has done a pretty good job of integrating the separate story lines of the King's Quest games into a single narrative, which involves the fate of the universe (what else?). Toegoff's "blind" playing style and sheer enthusiasm for this project make this an enjoyable watch. All 54 episodes. (OK, the part where he does all the digging might get a LITTLE bit tedious....) Here is the complete episode listing. Enjoy! What's this about Brickroad being dead? .....or has this report been greatly exaggerated? |

At some point I should get the Silver Lining if only to have some closure. The problem being of course that I'd want to complete Mask of Eternity before doing so but that shit is so rancid...
I just can't do it... (I was going to link my Gamespite article on Mask of Eternity here but I can't find it...) |

I'm pretty sure mask of eternity was the last boxed PC game I purchased. Must have been 12 years ago? No internet access at the time, so no faqs, did not make it very far.
I remember following the development of the silver lining, but really had no desire to play it, I think an lp is just the ticket. |

Man, I had to dig for this thread.
It was worth it. |

ShadowWarriorLuke invited me to co-commentate in his Super Bomberman LP!

This "Neverwinter Nights 2" LP and its followup are fun to read and have a lot of philosophy about what does and doesn't work translating role-playing games to video games. Worth a look.

Can anyone recommend a particularly good video LP of Last of Us? I want to get the experience without having to actually play it.

The one on the archive is pretty good, and has alternate edits for cutscenes and the like.

Final Fantasy Seven Blazed covers every scene from the game through the lense of a stoner movie. Quote:

I keep waiting for someone to do a screenshot LP of FFVII because I haven't got the patience to sit through five hundred videos.
I may end up just reading this and seeing how much sense it makes. |

It's not representative, since it makes a lot more sense than the source material. Besides, you won't appreciate most of the jokes.

Well shit, I thought I was done after I did the first six.

I was going to say, I can't remember why I didn't go read the Penny Arcade one.
Then I actually looked at it and there were about six rape-and-other-flavours-of-misogyny gags in the first page of content and figured that was probably why I hadn't bothered in the first place. |

In a similar vein is Les Tweets Terribles, otherwise known as Metal Dril Solid.

Huh. LPArchive doesn't even have FF7. Crazy.

I don't know and I don't much care what Something Awful is actually for, I'm happy they exist as long as they keep pumping out amusing LPs. |

That's because the ongoing LP of it has been ongoing for like three years.

I'm reading it now thanks to this topic. It's pretty good! And while I knew it never hit disc 3, I'm pretty surprised to see that there was an update last month and another a couple days ago, so it's still actively updated... for certain values of "active".

But yeah, Elentor's FFVII LP is fantastic. He does a really good job pointing out and emphasizing some things about the story that are easy to miss or under-appreciate when you're playing it yourself. |
