Surely, even if you don't feel qualified to talk about the game generally, this specific affair is worth its own thread.

Why would I make a thread about something I don't want to talk about?

Crossposting here: the Super Nt is going up for pre-order for one final run October 28th. If you wanted to get the best little Super Nintendo that ever there was without paying scalper prices, now's the time. Sadly I'll be missing out.

I don't know that we needed yet another Rainbow Road but these all look good. I never played Mario Kart Wii and love all things autumn, so Maple Treeway is very appealing to me. Looking forward to this!

Yeah, most of these are new to me (having only played SNES, N64, GC, DS and 8), so I'm excited. There's more antigrav happening in these too, which is nice.

Two Switch games I was really hoping to get for Squishmas (Sonic Frontier and Persona 5) are currently on sale on Amazon as an early Black Friday sale.

However, they’re only offering physical copies and I’d prefer them digitally. And there’s no end date for them so I don’t know what kind of window I have to see if they go on sale on the eShop.

I am playing chicken with my wallet with lives on the line.

Specifically Sonic the Hedgehogs life; which is admittedly, one I would like to preserve.

Yeah, I waa hoping we'd see more anti-grav in later waves after the opportunity for wave 1 criticism to be fully absorbed

I was going to snag Persona 5, but they sold out of the $29.99 offer while I was still shopping...

It’s that time of year again;

did i do all of that?

I figured the Steam Deck killed a lot of Switch playing for me this year, and it was even worse than I thought - only 17 hours for all of 2022! Jeez. 12% of my Switch playing for the whole year was one night of playing the Turtles collection online with a buddy, and that's only because he doesn't have a Steam Deck. Wow.

I played all of these relatively recently, and I was surprised for a second before I remembered that I spent the vast majority of this year playing Elden Ring, and then a few other PS5 games, so for a while my Switch was primarily just my bedtime Picross machine, plus a series of shorter games. I wish it told me hours on each, though.

I'm way too lazy to download and reupload all the images so I can link them, but here's mine:

Most Played: Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, Animal Crossing, Triangle Strategy
Played at Launch: Fire Emblem Warriors Three Hopes, Nintendo Switch Sports, Mario Rabbids Sparks of Hope
3+ Years of Play: Animal Crossing, RingFit Adventure, Puzzle Bobble 2

Three Hopes coming out a few days after the surgery that had me bedridden while I recovered was so lucky.

I played 11 hours of Into the Breach in July. That’s it!

I did play more Nintendo stuff, but it was on a hacked 3DS.

Beyond that, my gaming time was taken up by Elden Ring and some iOS games.

Those three, plus a replay of Golf Story and Pokemon Shield, made up 99% of my Switch gaming this year. I tossed the new Pokemon game on the Christmas list, so maybe that shows up next year.

I forgot to circle back around and take this comment back, now that I've actually played Wave 3. 3DS Rainbow Road fucking rules and makes me wish I'd played that game. Hugely fun track and I'm very glad it was included.

Animal Crossing continued to rule my life this year, with 127 motherfucking hours played. It's my zen garden, and I find myself revisiting it almost every day for at least a few minutes. However, now that I've finally completed the museum as of last week, I don't know that I'll have much more left to do in it. The end of an era.

Still loving Fire Emblem, though I've been distracted by other things for the last week or so and haven't found myself in the mood for it. I'm planning to get back on the horse soon. 48 hours played.

Mario Odyssey was a replay, motivated by my delusional belief that I was really going to get all 988273643930261 moons this time. Not even close, but I had fun with it. 17 hours.
