Yeah that looks fun, plus Oscar Isaac - I'm down.

Meanwhile my partner and I also just watched Shang-Chi finally and quite enjoyed it. I didn't even mind the end turning into the requisite giant CGI battle because Chinese Dragon pretty (though sure, obviously the choreography was more fun in the earlier less-superpowered fights - and there were some really fun shots, like the silhouettes against the giant advertising signs). Also I didn't even know (or had forgotten) Michelle Yeoh was in it so her showing up was a fun surprise even if her part was pretty small.

I guess Wong is basically Fury now, at least for the magic-ish half of the MCU.

Regarding the post-post-credits, I hope Shang's sister is okay - people with access to enormous extra-national paramilitary organizations don't have a great track record of staying good.

I cuss you bad
Good lord The Eternals was crap. Long and dull and terribly structured. There were some really bad performances too; Ikaris' expression for most of the film looked like he was trying hard not to fart and Cersei was out acted by bits of scenery

Edit: when it displayed "The Eternals will return" at the end Mrs Phantoon said "why are they threatening us?"

I thought it was fine. Bit too long. Kind of the most Zack Snyder thing in the MCU.

I think it was kind of neat that all of the Eternal actors used their natural accents.

Like I'm very happy about what I saw, but man I do not have high hopes for anything past this.

Anyway a big part of the movie SHOULD have been Tom Holland trying to get along with Tom Hardy's idiot brain monster yes I am willing to die on this hill.

My main takeaway of Eternals is that
there needs to be a 4X Mafia-like. Like everyone is trying to achieve techo-utopia on earth, but at least two people are doing so with the explicit intent of summoning a demonic god-emperor whereas everyone else is doing it for the sake of communal victory

The Eternals landed squarely in "average" territory for me, which puts it alongside Black Widow for me too. But that makes both significantly worse than anything the MCU has given us for a long while before. Feels more Phase 1 or 2 in quality.

I really doubt they'd show up on d+ where the law of the land has long been no blood and no cusses.

And frankly I can't imagine Disney ever acknowledging the existence of iron fist even if the sword of Damocles was hanging over their heads.

This may be regional, but my Disney+ has a ton of FX shows like The Americans and Atlanta, so I think they're fine having blood and swearing on there.

Huh.
That's weird.
It's at least in part because Hulu isn't a thing outside the US. So anything that's Fox or Hulu goes there, meaning on D+, you can watch It's Always Sunny, the first Borat, Pam and Tommy, the Alien series, The Fly, most of the animated Fox sitcoms (even the REALLY bad ones), all sorts of stuff. It's something called Stars (not Starz) and it's surprisingly not a separate free streaming service but you add it to your regular one with a password (if you don't, it stays the exlusively kid friendly fare).

So basically your best bet is to just pirate all of em and put em on a USB solid state drive got it.

I mean, not MY best bet. But yeah, if you don't want to get Hulu (does... does anyone? I feel like people get Hulu despite things), do that and you can keep watching the Punisher show that is a little good in points and also never had the balls to make Jigsaw look like something other than "pretty man with sexy scars".

Alternatively, you could watch Punisher Warzone which is also pretty good in parts and has a Jigsaw who was plainly trying to be Al Pacino made of a hundred Al Pacinos

I saw America Chavez about to punch some damn sucker so hard they get knocked clean out of reality, which is everything I want from fiction as a concept.

Wait, Sam Reimi is directing Doctor Stranger!? The MCU might have a chance to hook me back yet

(I am worried that Reimi hasn't made a film in a decade and that the MCU loves filing out their director's quirks, but I want to believe)
