I'm just thrilled I'm not tempted to upgrade like I was with DS Lite/DSi/New 3DS/New 3DS XL, and so on. This is great for people who don't already own a Switch! But I've already got one and I'm good with it. I'd rather they do something like this rather than an incremental upgrade and then expect me to buy the newest full-on upgrade two years after that.
Can you imagine the reaction from The Gamers if Nintendo did actually announce this during E3? It would've been A Disaster For Sure!!!
Nice enough to upgrade? Dunno, depends. Will we get a Metroid themed one?
Well, that was naive of me. I guess Nintendo doesn’t have to worry about the Steam Deck just yet…Hopefully the lack of an upgraded chip means scalpers will be disinterested too for anyone who just needed to get a new unit for whatever reason.
This is where I'm coming from. I have a PS5, and a pretty decent computer. Switch is there just for its exclusives, which are mostly things that are stylized/abstracted enough that higher resolutions would have diminishing returns. I view the machine as a handheld that just happens to be able to hook up to a TV, even though I play my Switch docked like, 98% of the time too. I just don't really care that much about crazy graphics on them as long as the games are good. GB wasn't a frustrating machine to own despite it not having the horsepower of PSX. Same with GBA not being up to par with an Xbox, or the DS not being on par with a PS3. Or a 3DS not being on the level with a PS4.But also: you've already got a Series X and PS5, so what you're mostly missing out on would be first-party Nintendo games that run in 4k or whatever. But Nintendo has never really tried to make games with high-end specs like that in mind.
You’re Bound to like the next games coming to Earth next week for SNESflix;
I'm going to need more detail on this comment!The music in Bombuzal sounds like what a Mega Drive fanboy would make to parody SNES music.
yesare any 2D platforming collectathons truly bad, really?
I finally get this after only 30 odd years“Bombuzal” is an excellent title for an explosives-based puzzle game, I have to admit
