That page doesn't seem like it has any easier ways? It shows you can mass transfer Miis between multiple Switches directly, but for getting Miis off 3DS or WiiU it just suggests loading them into an Amiibo one at a time like VV was doing. Unless I'm also missing something.

(And even that doesn't help me, because I have an original 3DS with no NFC reader, so I don't think there's *any* way currently to get my Miis from my 3DS onto Switch.)

Ugh, didn't read properly and thought you could send Miis from the Wii U just like you could from Switch to Switch. That's immensely stupid.

Cant link on a phone, but apparently Ni No Kuni 2 has been leaked for Switch.

I didn’t play that originally, but I’m lead to understand it was much better received than the original game, which was a bit of a slog despite being one of the nicest looking games in the genre

Can confirm. Ni no Kuni bored me to tears but I really enjoyed the sequel. I don't think they have anything to do with each other, plot-wise.

Did Miitopia 3DS use Access Keys like the Switch version does to share Mii’s? Perhaps you could use the respective demos to upload your Miis and transfer them that way.

I'm almost 100% certain the bizarre mii transfer system is done specifically to avoid opening up additional memory leak security holes from hacked 3DS or WiiUs. Given that the Switch had severe vulnerabilities at launch that were completely unrelated, it feels like putting a padlock on a cardboard box, but I won't outright call it a bad idea to have that system in place.

I do not remember this at all. I could start up my 3DS and see though!

And glad I'm not missing something obvious.
