Thank you very much! I am yet again happy with my decision not to watch (though I don't know what Hades is, I'll have to go look that up)

As per usual with these partner showcases, the western direct inexplicably omitted something interesting that was the nevertheless still coming westward. This time it’s Hardcore Mecha, which the devs describe as Super Robot Wars crosses with Metal Slug. Bonus, there is a demo on the eShop.

Alwas Legacy's coming later this month. The first one was a great, puzzle focused NES-y as hell Troid-em-up, the second one looks to have twice the bits, and all the charm

Hades is a very good game. Do yourself a favor and don't sleep on it.

Hardcore Mecha demo done.. its.. its OK. It honestly plays like a beat-em-up, with long flat levels that are broken up by packs of enemies. Doesn't feel as fluid as Metal Warriors. I wonder how the multiplayer is, though.

The emulator used in Mario 3D All Stars supports Gamecube GPU features not used in Sunshine, "bounding box" and "ZFreeze". I'm going to be genuinely shocked if further N64, Gamecube and Wii games aren't now on the way.

I wonder if development of this special emulator is what's keeping Metroid Prime Trilogy from being released, since they need to translate all that GameCube IBM/ATi code stuff to something Nvidia/ARM compatible. This does open up the credence to possible N64 NSO.

I would hope if Wind Waker and Twilight Princess get rereleased next year it would be ports of the WiiU versions, and not just the GameCube versions emulated.

I'll never play The Wind Waker HD. They got overambitious and effectively replaced the game's iconic art style with something else. (They took the toon shading out of the game Toon Link is from.) I always hope for a rerelease of the original version, because it's that or Dolphin for me at this point.

Whatever your opinion of the graphics though, there were other quality of life improvements to the WiiU version that would make it hard to go back to the GameCube version at this point.

Wind Waker HD looks like dogshit and I will never forgive them. I would understand if there was like, substantial new content to make it more even but the best new addition was the Miiverse stuff and that's dead now too.

Nintendo has stealth dropped Kirby Fighters 2 on the eShop.

The fact that Nintendo not only has its own Smash clone, but it now has its own sequel is wild.
