Portability is pretty nice, though.Debating whether I want to get 3D All-Stars or not. I mean, it's great that it exists... but I also have all three of these still in original form. Guess I'll wait until it's obvious all the physical copies are sold out and I can't get it anymore.
I just realized all of these games are older than the NES trilogy was when the original All Stars was released.
Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, aka Super Mario Bros 2.That montage at the end skipped a LOT. Galaxy 2, Mario Land 2, New SMB U, New SMB 2, SMB The Lost Levels...very odd.
Do you get dizzy if you touch them?

Preordered Allstars even though I'm sure none of the quality of life control things I would want have been done to any of the games.
That didn't even occur to me, but it would have been a nice addition. Oh well, I've never played Sunshine so hopefully I won't even notice. In lamer news, Sunshine will not be compatible with GameCube controllers.
I wonder how...watchy...the Game and Watch is. I could use a new bedside clock and if it has some real use in that dimension that might put me over the edge.
Oh God I'm old
It's worse than that. Super Mario Bros was 1985 and Super Mario All-Stars was 1993. 8 years between the oldest game and the collection. Super Mario Galaxy - the newest game - came out in 2007. It's older than SMB was when its collection came out by five whole years. 62% older!
Yeah, SMB is the weakest game on that collection. SMB2 and 3 feel spot on to me, plus I like the extra colors and the save feature in SMB3. I haven't played enough Lost Levels to know how faithful it is to the NES game, but as I recall there are differences in the physics between the two NES games. Isn't Lost Levels the first one where you can do a high bounce off an enemy?Played a little Super Mario All-Stars yesterday; first time in decades. I'm disappointed that SMB1 and Lost Levels messed up their physics (I've screwed up jumps I could make in the 8-bit originals), but IMO it's worth playing just for the awesome port of Super Mario Bros. 2 and the Mario Bros.-esque battle mode from Super Mario Bros. 3 being available as its own separate option.
