I agree: Mario has no place in this gamei just think it'd be more fun to add character from lesser known works rather than a non-characterized pc from the most popular series out there
Like, I was excited about Banjo Kazooie, but a lot of people didn’t care at all. Meanwhile, Terry was huge for people in South America, Japan went wild for Hero, and kids are extremely excited for Steve & Company. Nintendo is doing a great job of appealing to a wide variety of fans with these picks.
This. Whatever your opinions on Minecraft, the series is huge with the younger crowd and it having representation in Smash is sure to bring in a ton of new players for the series.Anything that makes the Smash player base less insular (and, honestly, less problematic) by inviting as wide a variety of fans as possible can only be a good thing.
What Cloud and Joker and Hero did for previously uninterested RPG fans, Steve does for younger players who want to share the fun.
If a Resident Evil rep got in Smash, I would really want one of the monsters. Like, I'm sure they could lump a bunch of main protagonists into one character slot, but I'd prefer the Nemesis or Mr. X or a random Hunter or Licker over someone like Chris or Leon.By the way, I saw this on Reddit yesterday:
That’s a great collection of series, and Minecraft isn’t even the weirdest. Plus there’s stuff from Shovel Knight, Monster Hunter, Undertale, etc. Rather than looking at characters, what is the #1 franchise you’d want added?
it’s easily Resident Evil for me.
I see you're trying to preform a Final Smash...Microsoft Office
