I keep erasing "lowest of the low" from my mind. Probably more accurate to the Japanese phrasing, but certainly not how you'd say it in English to get the point across.There's also a part near the end of the original series where someone tells Shinji they love him, which is important because no one else has ever said that to him and it makes the next episode hit much harder. While in the Netflix translation it's like, not love and causes Shinji to say he was "worthy of their Grace" which is uhh..
Also "I'm so fucked up" sounds more natural than "I'm the lowest of the low".
