Is Gex available for anything currently active that isn't PC? The first one? I've always kinda wanted to play it after trying it on a 3DO demo or something in a Sears when I tagged along with my dad that one time.
It was on PSN as a PSOne Classic, but I'm not sure it's on of the ones that you can play now on PS4/5.
Ah, pity. Well, considering what I've done for other games there, I might do that.
Or maybe not. It was a pain, and my account there can't even buy anything now, so... eh, screw it. Maybe I can just find a disc, the PS3 should read it just the same, right?

PS1 games will run in any PS3, I'd advise you not to spend too much on it, Gex 1 is oddly probably the worst of the 3 which is very unusual for a late 2D versus early 3D platformer.

I haven't played the other Gex games, but I personally enjoyed it pretty well when I played through it on Saturn last year.
My only gripe about PS1 on PS3 is that there's a pretty significant input lag with the emulation. Some games it might not be an issue, but it definitely didn't feel as nice as, say, running on a PSP or on the PS Classic.

Question: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is at a DEEP discount on Xbox right now. I've heard that it had performance issues on the previous generation of hardware, but does anyone know if there are any problems on the Series X before I take the plunge?
I bought the game for Series X and I've had no problems with it there. Worst I could say is, like, some of the text (very rarely) disappears and a select few breakable candles occasionally lose their collision data and can't be busted. And that's stuff that already happened on Switch (and presumably other platforms).

I play on PC and I don't think I've ever seen either of those things happen. Do they only occur in certain modes?
It's happened in the main game. From my experience, the bits of text disappearing during spoken conversations are a far less common issue on Xbox (it's happened to me like once, early on) than on Switch, and my main experience with buggy candles is the hallways of the Dian Cécht Cathedral.
Other than that it's been smooth sailing. Loading happens fast (Classic Mode aside) and the game holds a solid framerate and functions properly.

I’m not sure if there were further updates after the last time I’d played the game (last Summer, apparently), but it seems to look and run a lot better on Switch now, too.

For additional context, since hotlinking Twitter images has problems in some browsers, the version 1.5 update of Ritual of the Night will also include an assortment of Shantae-inspired crossover equipment.

This is part of the online content update. There are 3 premium costumes, but this Shantae one is free.
There is also a Risky Boots gun.
Classic 2 will be in a future update.
