I didn't really glom onto SoR4 until I played through a couple of times. Fantastic stuff that I'd put above RCG, although I enjoyed that too. We'll see how I like Shredder's Revenge when I finally get my copy.

SoR4 is pretty great, but I've put way more time into and gotten way more enjoyment out of the survival mode than I ever did from the story or arcade modes, which I thought were Fine.

Shredder's Revenge was fun too, though I left it around halfwayish through the campaign? I need to go back and beat it now that I know I'm not going to be finishing it with my ex...

I never did play RCG, and almost certainly won't, but I'll be keeping my eye on RCG2 when it drops soon(ish?). Sounds like a case of a decent-good initial outing with room for improvement and a team that's likely to actually commit to that improvement.

Got my copy in, now to decide - leave it sealed (LRG ahoy) and buy digital, or just say screw it and pop it in.

Just finished it. Even nostalgia blinders can't keep this from being the best Turtles game ever made.

I finally had the pleasure of playing multiplayer on this game last night. We ordered pizza and had an absolute blast.

This was a day one buy for me with Usagi, but Karai is certainly the icing on the cake. 31st is almost here!
I wrote a short blog post about the Usagi DLC, mainly because when I was a kid a classmate lied to me and told me you could unlock Usagi in TMNT on NES. So now it's like closure!!

I'm annoyed that I either have to re-grind on my Switch copy or actually buy my Gamepass copy on the Xbox PC Store then buy the DLC there. Both are annoying for different reasons, but I guess since I already own the Switch version physically, I'll just get the DLC there and play the game over with the multiple characters I've levelled?

Usagi is super fun. He's a bit like Shiva from the Streets 4 DLC in that he's got heavy emphasis on aerial combos.

Karai I haven't gotten as much of a handle on yet, but her specials seem very strong.

The survival mode is quirky and wacky and I don't think I love it as much as the one in Streets 4, but I gotta give it some time to grow on me.

I love playing as Usagi! But something weird I noticed about Karai, for some reason I don't seem to notice as easily if I'm getting hurt. Not sure what it is exactly, but I feel it's not telegraphed as much when she takes damage.

This is a weird choice, but I am glad to see it. More games that existed exclusively in arcade formats need to come home for future generations. Even if they only existed to distribute trading cards, Minecraft Arcade.

I knew about it, but never got a chance to play it in the wild, so I'm excited for it! 3 new levels, too! I'm guessing digital only? Would love to get another physical TMNT game, but understandable if it's not.

I would bet its physical only.

You have to go to Dave and Busters and exchange 16,000 prize tickets for a PS4 copy of the game!

I heard about this but didn't know they were adding levels. That's even better along with the budget-ish price!

I played this game at a Dave and Busters once. It's pretty ok! Not amazing, certainly not Revenge of the Shredder calibur, but certainly ok! Glad it gets a life outside of the arcade.

So the Radical Reptiles DLC has been out for a few days now, see here if you've missed the news since no one thought to post in this thread:

On top of adding Mona Lisa and Mondo Gecko it also adds remixed music if you want a more Chiptuney soundtrack as you beat-em-up on endless Foot soldiers.

But with two more characters added I'm reminded that I still haven't finished leveling the starting roster to 10 in story mode, much less Casey and the four newcomers. Any good level grinding strategies anyone knows of? One I saw on the youtubes involve restarting the story campaign and keeping character levels and clearing the stages as fast as possible while getting all the collectables but not turning them in until the end, then plugging in four controllers for four characters that need leveling and getting them all to reap those EXP rewards from the quests. It would probably take a bit but it sounds far less monotonous than the other main leveling method I've found, replaying 'That Won't Fly' over and over and letting the big Mousers continue to barf up the smaller guys for as long as possible.

Any other advice besides those two methods?

Oh dang thank you for posting, I had no idea! I must admit I don't know these two characters but this game was fun so I'd be happy to have more of it.

Outside of perhaps the punch clock Foot Soldiers, You can really tell that the artists had the most fun animating fun with Mona; almost every single one of her animations is a delight.

Mona's animations are delightful, so much so that I wish this version of her was a regular on the original cartoon.

As far as Foot Soldier animations go, my favorite was always the ones pretending to eat ice cream. (with a close second being the carnival barker types behind the stalls in Coney Island)
