gotta be honest, Thunderbolts being a B-sider collection is kind of appealing. it won't be as fun as Suicide Squad/Peacemaker I'm sure but kinda has that vibe to me.

So the asterisk is officially part of the title for this show?Thunderbolts*
Assuming you mean either Red Guardian or US Agent, they were prominent in Black Widow and Falcon & Winter Soldier, respectivelyI remember some of the people in that trailer, but who's the Captain America-esque guy? Is he from one of the TV shows I've skipped out on?
I remember Red Guardian, but not US Agent. And I watched Falcon & Winter Soldier but barely remember it, I found it pretty dull. So that explains that! Thanks Octo!Assuming you mean either Red Guardian or US Agent, they were prominent in Black Widow and Falcon & Winter Soldier, respectively

...
That is certainly a choice...
He's the guy who was poorly standing in for Rogers as the "new" Captain America and beat a man to death with the shield in a PTSD/drug-induced haze.I remember Red Guardian, but not US Agent. On the other hand, I'm always excited to see more of David Harbour as Red Guardian. Just a fantastic character.I mentioned elsewhere that I would probably be more excited for Thunderbolts* if the team had a more varied power set. We've got three Captains America, two Black Widows, and Ghost. I guess that's a good recipe for a covert black ops team or whatever, but they'd better get real creative with the punching and kicking or it'll get boring fast. I would also like them to come up with something interesting for Bucky to do, specifically, as he seems kind of disconnected and directionless without Steve in the picture.

In other news, I took in the first episode of Agatha All Along last night
Marvel's mortgaged a lot of goodwill in the intervening years. It is so strange to me as a Disney+ "outsider" that when WandaVision premiered and was then a weekly event, it was practically all anyone was talking about. I swear I absorbed that show through cultural osmosis via 10,000 posts on the subject. I know it is complicated, but this is its ostensible "Season 2", and, three years later, it is hard to say if anyone gives a damn. Again, approaching this entirely as someone who is outside that ecosystem and occasionally steals their friend's D+ subscription to catch up randomly, but it is such a weird shift to experience as someone outside looking in.
I think the fact the the sitcom style conceit meant it had a gimmick that made each week / episode sufficiently new and interesting played a role. Virtually every other series has been a four-hour Standard Marvel Movie told in six episodes. WandaVision had a "what are they going to do next?" effect to keep pulling people back in, even ones who were starting to get tired of superhero stories.WandaVision was also the first of the MCU D+ shows to air and it came out during a portion of the pandemic when there were still significant amounts of people staying relatively isolated.
