And we've seen so many Plastic Man so many times in live action, people are just tired of seeing it and are stoked for more CGI energy blobs.
I mean, we've only really gotten CGI energy blobs once, and that movie was 11 years ago at this point. That's just as much fertile ground, but the propensity for it looking awful and bad are significantly reduced. They've gotta make this Ms Marvel show on a TV budget, and so far the D+ Marvel shows have been visually rather lackluster and even cheap looking in some instances. I think this is a fine compromise versus something potentially looking as bad as the Elongated Man in The Flash.
Yeah, a general "making objects" ability is actually kind of unique in the MCU for now. Getting bigger and smaller obviously isn't, and stretching soon won't be either.

I will definitely say an argument against Marvel is just Plastic Man is actually one in Plastic Man's favour... because while I love what Adrian Alphona does with Marvel personally, I feel like only the more boring Plastic Man artists just do big hand stretchy neck and the rest have visual fun that he turns into random objects big and small, be it a vase, the entire interior of a room, a car, etc. He's really much more akin to a squeakier Jake the Dog.
That kind of stuff really isn't Marvel's MO from any of the books I read.

BTW, She-Hulk seems like the show to include this character in.

Saw this during the Celts/Heat game. Looking good, but maybe a lil too much of the movie in this one.
I think it has a normal amount of the movie in there - the villain and a brief line about his motivations, the main characters and them saying hi, then some unplaced set pieces, cameos, etc. Doesn't really tell the story of the film, which is the big no-no for me.
But having said that, this is the last trailer I'll watch for this one. This has me hyped enough and ticked the boxes I wanted ticked from a trailer.

MCU motivations often vary from their comic book versions that exist in a very different context, so maybe Gorr will just be a space racist who is out to genocide all god-beings by whatever classification system he uses.

The real problem is the ideal characterization of Marvel's Hercules is basically Hemsworth's Thor under Waititi
"Problem" is a strong term
Given Waititi's Thor is basically "Thor who learned to chill and be silly", I could see a Hercules who is more like a parody of Thor 1+2's Thor. Still over-serious and trying to be shakespearean but ending up ridiculous.
I was trying to say that Thor is basically just some guy that nobody really thinks of as a divine being or higher power.

First episode is up. It was very serviceable.
Some parts were relatable and well written and considered. Some parts felt like it was written by boomers trying really hard to connect with the youth without even attempting to understand the zoomer experience.
The idea of cribbing Kyle Raynor’s artistic inclinations is probably a good idea for your not!Green Lantern character.
I have strong thoughts on the show’s whole theme of Kamala being an aimless daydreamer. But I will wait for the show to finish its whole setup before judging the show’s messaging too hard. But suffice to say, it’s not looking good at the moment.
There’s a mid-credits scene btw, so let the credits play out.
I liked it a lot. Kamala is very Kamala, one thing that was apparent ever since her casting announcement. Definitely struck gold with that one.
