Yep.
1. This game is full of bugs.
The most common enemies are giant ants, spiders and bees.
2. They're the smallest of your worries, though.
Even though they're huge, the other enemies are even bigger.
3. Did I say bugs? Sorry, I meant "aggressive alien species".
The narration and NPC chatter never call them bugs or insects; they're always "aggressive alien species" or "monsters".
4. Red ones are stronger.
Many enemies have stronger variants that are distinguished by color, usually red.
5. Aliens look just like us. Frogs? What are those?
The aliens look like bipedal frogs, but NPCs insist they look just like humans.
6. Shoot the enemy's giant glowing weak point... but only when we tell you to.
The glowing portals in the alien ships that enemies come out of are obviously their weak points, but they don't actually take damage from being shot there until the EDF commander tells you to do it, around a quarter of the way into the game.
