I have to say, NSO+ has not interested me in the slightest, as the N64 offerings seem to be items I have played far too much, and I already have 70 Sega Genesis compilations. But if Gameboy Advance and/or Mother 3 hopped on the NSO+ train, I'd upgrade my membership in a heartbeat.

And I'm going to predict... hm... a Fire Emblem game releasing immediately after the direct. That's totally going to happen.

More on Mario vs Rabbids since that comes out in October I assume. Excited for that one and definitely plan to get it.

Probably Sonic Frontiers too. Curious about that one but dunno if I'll be getting it.

Rumor mill is saying Wind Waker/Twilight Princess remakes being ported to the Switch and a Metroid Prime remake, which are honestly kind of boring, so I hope we get some more exciting surprises than those.

These are boring and I fear that most of the direct will be like this. Hoping for some very cool surprises alongside those if that is the case.

First (non-beta) Splatoon 3 Splatfest is the 23rd-25th!

Very excited for Octopath Traveler 2, although bummed the hunter doesn't look as badass as H'aanit and is instead spunky squeaky anime girl.

That Zelda climbing thing looks odd and doesn't seem to be Breath of the Wild 2 but some sort of offshoot? Maybe? Sort of seemed like the Skyward Sword map? Lots of questions.

Of all the things, the one I'm most excited about is Fist of the North Star Fitness Boxing. Finally, I can have an experience like the arcade machine. Can't wait to explode some dudes.

Also I'm starting to believe any planned Metroid Prime Re-Masters just simply doesn't exist, despite the internet trying to will it into being.

I didn't see Lucina, but the mural in the trailer did have Marth and skinnier Marth in a mask.

Personally, I found that really underwhelming. I'm looking forward to BotW2, but that was a known quantity and it's still a fair ways away. Miyamoto's presentation did get me to download Pikmin Bloom to my phone, which I'll check out soon (I do a lot of walking). But holy cow, talk about an endless procession of farming games.

I doubt I'm the first person to point this out, but I haven't seen anyone else mention it yet:

It's kind of funny how similar this new Fire Emblem game's story setup is to Tokyo Mirage Sessions, the Persona/FE mash-up, in which the player characters have been possessed by ghosts of FEs past and leverage that to give them their powers, and the MC has Marth riding his soul, and the story is about the resurrection of the Fell Dragon from FE1 and needing to stop him again. Only... with demons and Japanese pop stars. Probably... probably less of those this time around.

I like the male MC design in Fire Emblem: Engage a lot more than the female design that was leaked a while back. The red/blue hair mix doesn't work for me with floor-length hair, but on a short cut I get what they're going for.

Regarding the incessant Metroid/Zelda rerelease rumors, I wish journalists and such with insider knowledge would make a better distinction between the insider knowledge they have and wild guesses they make with the benefit of insider knowledge.

I mean, it's one thing to have some poor soul in the QA mines break NDA to let you know that some project or another exists, but it's a completely different thing to make a wild guess of when said project will be announced soon when all you really know is that the project exists.
